WORST HOTEL IVE EVER STAYED AT!!!The hygiene of this hotel is beyond disgusting, my bedding had some sort of red stain on them, the walls are dirty, the plug sockets are all cracked or completely broken. The shower is ridiculous, I have felt more pressure from the rain. My TV didn't work either and the best part of my experience was when I asked the receptionist for some cutlery he gave me his own and said "here have this you will just have to wash it".Save your money and do not stay here.

Good location but disappointing hotel and not good value for money.Some websites say no parking, others say free parking. It's actually £10/night parking which really bumps up the cost of the room!The reception and corridors had a pungent smell of weed.No barNo loungeNo restaurantRefreshments menu was just cans of pop & chocolate bars!Urine splashes up the bathroom radiator.Dangerous broken plug socketWindow blind scruffy & broken.Pillows so flimsy they may as well not have been there.Rooms: Good size room but decor needs attention with modern bathroom. Cleaners need to pay more attention to details... radiator by the toilet was filthy.Food & drinks: No food or drink ( apart from tea & coffee facilities in room) available despite being advertised on the sign outside and on websites.Noteworthy details: Beware of car parking charges!

Was not sure after reading reviews but very surprised room was clean service by owner &staff were very helpful I am sure when new owners get go ahead to do what they want to do it will be a great hotel to stay next time I am in the area I will most definitely stay here like to wish owner and staff best for the future hope to see you soon vince from room 21 cheers

I'm not really sure on what the negative reviews were expecting from the pictures and price?Is it 5 star... Absolutely notIs it 5 star for the price... Sure is!Amy and Leon who are the new management couldn't have done more for our stay, immediately we felt welcome and hospitality is everything to me! ... I stayed with 2 children and felt safe and comfortableyeah it's been well loved / in need of love but Im not expecting anything more for the money.It was warm, clean as it can be and comfortable enough... I can't imagine the costs of "up keeping" this place!No food, but rugby have plenty of places to eat out locally and hotel had snacksWould I book this place as a treat, or luxury / romantic stay... No... Would I book it because most hotels are now over 100quid to stay in and for the time you're in a hotel room vs costs is it worth it... Totally!

À notre arrivée, nous avions été logés dans une chambre crasseuse sous les toits. Nous l'avons refusée cette chambre, les draps étaient froissés, comme déjà utilisés. La salle de bain moisie, crasseuse est immonde et je ne parle pas de la bouilloire proposée, l'eau rouillée qui y stagne est croupie. Il est impossible de fermer la fenêtre à guillotine tellement il y a longtemps qu'elle n'a pas été manipulée. Dans la nouvelle chambre : pas mieux ! Pas d'éclairage dans la salle de bain, un filet d'eau pour se doucher. Une baignoire crasseuse. Les serviettes de bain sont usées et d'un blanc plus que douteux. La crasse règne en maître. Après une nuit passée à nous gratter, nous avons fui cet hôtel miteux. L'entretien extérieur ou intérieur est inexistant. Aucun interlocuteur, car la personne de l'accueil parle à peine l'anglais. Ici, il n'existe aucune hygiène. Les moquettes des couloirs sont recouvertes de poussière.La literie n'a pas dû être changée depuis des années. Elle est infestée de puces de lit au vu de l'état de notre peau après cette nuitée. Tout est d'époque. Nous avons évité le petit déjeuner de peur d'attraper des maladies. De toute façon il n'y a ni bar et ni restaurant, et c'est tant mieux afin d'éviter toute dysenterie ou tout empoisonnement.Les photos de l'annonce sont mensongères et ne reflètent pas la réalité. Nous avons tenté de prendre des photos. Elles sont nulles tellement l'éclairage était mauvais.Cet hôtel est vieux, tombe en désuétude et devrait être fermé. Il est incompréhensible que Booking le propose encore dans ces choix.

To be honest you get what you pay for. I think I paid about £150 for three nights which really isn't bad. Although these reviews are accurate, the room didnt have soap until we asked to get some. We had to ask for clean towels, not a huge deal but just saying. The bed is a spring bed so not awful but not nice either. The shower was probably the worst bit, it was really weird with it going everywhere and not really being consistent. Reception guy was a little more casual but it is what it is. Also no clear instructions on how to join the wifi so make sure you ask.Food & drinks: Restaurant wasnt open

The hotel was a bit difficult to manage the locks, both room and the hotel front door. Service was subpar but ok.All in all things were ok, wasn't a far walk to the main shopping area

I was booked in to this hotel through a 3rd party, I was given room 7 upon arrival I went to the room opened the door and was greeted by a musty damp smell stains on the carpet I complained to the hotel manager she apologised and said there is no more rooms available so that was 1 sleepless night the next morning I was reassigned to room 15 which was better apart from the broken corner edge on the bath and also the black mold in the the tile grouting, but my overal review was basic and it is basic cleanliness is not Thier cleaners strong point a quick run round with a hoover and mopped floor does not cut it.

Our son has just started running this hotel and he's doing an amazing job,and we have no doubt that he's going to make a success of the place, If there's anything you need on your stay Lewis or the other members of staff will try there best to see it's a good experience ?

We stayed here due to attending a local horse show and decided this was a better idea then the camping option? WRONG! The hotel was not as described on the website one single bit. We got stung with £10 parking charge for the ?free carpark? which had a lovely meet and greet of a drunk on the steps most morning. Might of been the concierge??Upon opening the door to room 26 we got greeted with not only the outdated 1920?s carpet but the lovely fragrance ofCannabis. The room itself was not as described on the website and most certainly was not an ? accommodation that offers the perfect resting place to awake refreshed for the new day?The rug was dirty and looked like it had been pulled out of the local dump.The single bed may as well be a slab of concrete and the double you had to cling to the edge like you was on Mount Everest so you did not fall in the middle. In fact, top and tailing was the only solution to level out the mattress.Telephone did not work. No daily cleaning services, therefore no new toilet roll , tea coffee facilities etcOverall I think next year we are camping in the muddy field.Best of luck to anyone else who braves this place !
