I had an MOT that was finished within the hour and came back to collect it and had absolutely no problems with anyone or with the work they had done. Will return for my next one and other repairs. Ken on reception was very helpful!

I booked online for Major service + MOT bundle which I needed to handle both at the same day. Halfords advertise this on their website that you can order bundle to save money and time. You don't need to come 2nd time. So I ordered as website advertised. My appointment was on 17.01.2024 at 11.30am and I was there at 11.00am. I went to reception and inform them that I came for major service + MOT. I gave him registration number. Then Receptionest/manager told me that they can do MOT today but for service they need to rebook it for next week. I didn't want to do that as this is not what I paid for. I am working and I cannot keep tell my boss that I will go autocentre again and again! The worst part is that this would cause failed from MOT, he denoted he can make service next week, so we need to go to service next week, and book for mot again, and this leads double charging. Agent do not behave as advertised on halfords website.I immidiately called customer service and explained what happened. Agent ended the call after understanding the problem. I have contacted via online chat, agent said specialist will return to you within 48 hours.I have contacted paypal and initiated dispute.

I have booked for Air condition checks and told them my issue about car heating issue.They said they can?t find the issue before even looking at my car and cancelled the paid appointment. The very next day I have booked steering and suspension check. Went there to give my car and told them my issue, that steering wheel malfunction symbol appeared and disappeared few days back. Receptionist told me they can?t find the issue without even looking at my car. Again appointment cancelled at the reception.Two times in two days my appointment cancelled at the reception without even looking at the car. So much disappointed.

Terrible experience with this Halfords, booked my car for the 19th October for an MOT. I was told that the emissions equipment was broken with no due date for fixing, but had to leave my car there. Three weeks later and still no word from Halfords. At this point I called them to see if there was any progress with the car, as at this point I was almost at a month without a car, making general life very difficult. I was told at this point the car was MOTd and failed, which I was not surprised by. We then discussed getting it fixed and I was told there would be a call back regarding this. A week later and still no call-back, so I called up and it turns out the MOT was never even started. At this point I was getting very frustrated, and told them to do it ASAP, and then authorise any work that needed doing. Eventually, after about two more weeks they called and said it had failed and asked to authorise any work. Firstly, I had already done this, and secondly, in what world does it take 2 weeks to carry out an MOT? Today I got a call to say that they needed something else for the car to fix it, a new steering rack, which would cost £1,000, to which I said no, I would collect the car with the work that?s already been done. When I arrived, NONE of the work had been done despite me telling them twice to do it. When I then questioned this, the bloke behind the desk tried to get out of it by saying he was trying to save me money or some other waffle.To anyone considering this workshop for any work on their car, please avoid at all costs. The company will mess you around for months and lie to you, and in my eyes cannot be trusted at all. The people there will scam you and do not care at all about their jobs, or the people who relied on them to do said job.Overall very dissatisfied with this service, and under no circumstances would go back, even for the simplest of work.

Booked online for Wednesday at 12. Online booking came up with an error so called number and told booking had all gone through ok.Had a call from Manager on Tuesday to say the tyre machine was broken and could we rebook it. So we moved to an 8.30 waiting appointment on Saturday (pending the tyre machine was fixed). No call from Manager so I called at 1pm on Friday to confirm the booking. Manager said it was repaired and the booking was good to go.Arrived at 8.20 and entered reception. Began checking in my car, gave my name and reg and Manager then began to engage with the lady who was behind me in the queue, stopped engaging with me and checked her in, confirming her details and taking her key, I was absolutely gob smacked at what had just happened. How is this acceptable practice to stop mid way through a check in and begin checking in another customer?Eventually Manager took my keys. Before I left, I asked if he needed to do a vehicle body inspection, he replied it would be done when it comes into the workshop (so with the customer not present?)I left the vehicle for the work to be completed. Went about my way in town and returned in an hours time to find my vehicle still parked in the same spot I had left it an hour ago.Remember this was booked as a waiting appointment. No call from Manager to explain any delays nor an apology when I returned.It was 9.36 before the vehicle entered the workshop, 1 hour 16 minutes after I had left it.While I sat and waiting I then noticed a sign about validating your parking, so I did, but surely this should be something that is pointed out at booking or checking.Overall, this has been an awful experience from the start to finish and I would advise anyone who is reading this or considering using Halfords Autocentre Rugby to avoid at all costs.Only gave one star as zero stars was not an option on this webpage.

Avoid! Receptionist was rude and generally obnoxious. Turned up for MOT to be told the equipment was broken, no communication. Service on car was of doubtful quality and content. Don?t bother, go elsewhere.

I been there for a car service. Everything was fine with their service.They have suggested that I should change one tyre and they gave me a price for a new one. I have bought the same tyre for £20 lesser than their price.

We like Halfords normally but the customer service and general service here was dreadful. Rude and unhelpful all round.

Had my mot booked in here , left my car 10 minutes before and went away , two hours later I was back where they told me they're too busy so we had to rebook it for next week . Few days later I received a parking penalty from parking Eye next to halfords due to my car been untouched for two hours when waiting for mot.Anyway a week later I had a call from them asking to rebook it again due to some technical problems, okay another delay. And so next week I went there again where I was told that the mechanic isn't there so they are unable to do the mot. I had to cancel it and go somewhere else where I got my mot In 30 minutes. Rubbish management and not enough notice for appointment delays. Wouldn't ever go there again.

Booked online for a tyre fit. Received a call from the garage 5 minutes before the appointment and was told that the tyre had not been delivered. Spoke to customer service centre and was informed that the tyre was delivered the day before the appointment. Basically the garage staff lied. I see a pattern here.

Honestly if you want a dodgy mot this is the place to go! ? booked in for an mot Friday unfortunately it failed on a driver side cv boot and a passenger side brake pipe was never told I could rebook in for a free test so went else where! Manged to get booked it to kwikfit and again it failed because Halfords didn?t even check my car properly so then it failed 2nd time on rear brake hose pipe and magically 100 more things needed doing, so I decided to call up and ask for something to be re-done all they done is a refund and say sorry!!! So that?s more money for a third mot test I now have to pay for because they couldn?t be bothered to check my car they way they are supposed to do , office person is rude as anything trying to tell me I?m wrong and it?s my fault ?? can?t Cleary be trusted with anyones cars waste of time and money wouldn?t never touch foot in there again place need to be shut downService: General repairs & maintenance
