Carla was brilliant. I?ve got super long hair and am terrified of getting it cut, she was so patient with me and kept checking in at each stage to make sure I was comfortable and happy with the result. I?ll definitely go back and am much less fearful of hairdressers now!

I guess I should thank 'Experience' whilst I didn't get a haircut I did learn lots about what I expect from a hairdressers service. I expected the online booking service to match what I asked for, wash, cut and blow dry, to the time needed. I expected to be able to hang up my jacket so it's not caught up in the hair that will naturally dust a hairdressers. I wasn't really comfortable with the dirty plastic box I was asked to use. If this is intended as a covid safe measure it should be impeccably clean. This was my shortest ever visit to a hairdressers ? I guess if you're a regular and are happy then absolutely stick with it. If you're a newby then perhaps book on the phone and don't have a bag or jacket with you?!#update...using online booking makes it too easy for businesses to hide behind 'it's you're fault not ours' honestly not a great customer service approach. I've also been charged for a 'no show' hmm also not great, when I did show. I was offered a cut and leave with wet hair. I also said I did think it was odd to be allocated 30 minutes for a wash, cut and blow dry. The response to this in an ideal world, is I'm sorry the online booking system didn't match correctly, would you like to arrange another time ... I was polite, I said no thank you to either a dry cut or leaving with a cut and wet hair and I left. This is valuable customer experience feedback. I've requested a refund after getting an email telling me Ive been charged as a no show as no service was received and clearly I did 'show'. Fingers crossed for a refund. If not then I'll ask the bank to dispute and charge back. For anyone else who has ever experienced anything similar to this, even for small purchases, your bank will have a process to help you if you are charged incorrectly, and when you book online you also have additional consumer protection, also good to know most banks will help you within 120 days (although under visa rules you have 6 years and 1 day, random I know :) ) never be afraid to state if you're unhappy and walk away. #update, so no refund, but happily a helpful bank to claim the amount back, also noticed the online booking deposit payment sets up the details as a continuous card payment (you'd see this for regular payments like when you use a card to pay for Netflix) not very happy my card details have been stored by this company, I'd be surprised if they're able to manage the necessary data protection to keep them safe, but they may have this in place for all I know. Again, helpful bank have take steps needed and replaced my card. What a saga!
