One of the only retail outlets in Rugby where you?ve got to go looking for a sales assistant every time you visit, so I suppose there?s some consistency. Couldn?t / wouldn?t honour a price match when we finally got down to getting served, giving a lame excuse on a differential on the return policies. If you want to curb an impulse buying problem, this is the place to shop.

Only got one leg inside the door, before some pushing sales lad said what are you looking for, i Only wanted to look around see what was there may have found something i wanted, I turned round straight back out of the door, what a way to treat a potential customer, will never use the place again

Wanted to try on headphones to see if they were comfortable before buying. Was told not possible by member of staff. They lost a sale as we went on to buy 2 sets elsewhere.

I had a gift voucher for £100 that had expired 1 day before I went to use it. I hadn't realised that I had had it for 2 years. No reminder to warn me of the time. The 'manager' was quite abrupt in telling me that there was nothing that could be done and if I hadn't used it in 2 years, I probably wasn't going to.
( I had other vouchers that I had used in that time, so I didn't need to use it). I don't think it was any of his business, how or when, I used my vouchers.
Currys don't exactly sell daily use items, so it may be some time before I buy any products from them.
In the Ts&C's, you are advised to treat the vouchers like cash, ie. If you lose it, it's gone. This I understand and accept but cash doesn't just expire and when it does, a) you're given time to prepare. Granted, you're given 2 years but a month before expiry, a reminder would be nice.
b) even after the deadline, you can still return it to the bank for a replacement.
Now, the 2 years is from the last time the voucher was used, so if you have more than 1 voucher, spread the cost over ALL your vouchers ( I have another voucher that I received at the same time, that has £2 left on it. It's still valid because I have used it within that 2 year time frame.
I will not use Currys again, not because I have effectively lost £100 (real value compared to other outlets prices is probably £50-60) but because of the attitude of the manager who was not only totally unhelpful but added a level of rudeness and sheer disregard for his customers situation, not an ounce of empathy, just point blank NO! Nothing can be done.
My fault for not spending it within the time.
Oh. 2 years ago, I was in Currys and overheard a lady at the customer service counter with the same issue, she had a voucher that had expired 3 months prior.
The Currys staff member, after doing some checks, was able to retrieve and reinstate the customers voucher.
When I mentioned this to the manager, he called me a liar, as it's never been possible, even though I had witnessed it with my own eyes and even spoke with the member of staff about what I would need to be able to retrieve a voucher. He hadn't even been there that long, so how would he know?
Either something has changed, the manager hasn't got a clue what he was talking about, or he was being deliberately evasive.
I may only be 1 customer but I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Anyway, goodbye Currys.

The staff were very friendly and Adam, who helped my husband buying a computer, was very helpful.

Waited around ages to then be asked if I needed help. When a so called expert came over only interested in trying to sell the most expensive phone in the shop. When I mentioned not from Daventry and like to think about any purchase, suddenly not interested. Phone way cheaper online from other retailers.
£999 in store same phone £699 elsewhere from laptops direct brand new.

Staff were friendly, though product knowledge wasn't extensive. Was left waiting for help with purchasing a product for a considerable amount of time.
