The staff is simply racist and ageist. While there are some lovely staff, some are incredibly discriminatory. I tried to buy paracetamol, and been denied for not having ID to show I am over 18, when it clearly states on the website it is for over 16s. Also another member of the staff refused to sell a lottery ticket to my mother, because she does not speak English, yet she still tried her best to ask for one in the limited English she knows. I tried to step in and help my mother, after which the staff member shouted at us and refused to sell us the ticket. Completely disgraceful and unacceptable, makes me never want to visit the store again with such disgusting behaviours towards the race and age of customers. Even the one-star review does not comprehend the amount of outrage and disrespect the members of staff present. I would confidently vote 0 stars for the discriminatory experience I've had.

I never usually leave reviews but I had to speak about this horrible staff member who has been continuously rude to my mother. My mother has visited the Asda store for years now and on multiple occasions, has had GAIL who works in Asda, be rude to her. She has actually pushed customers and their trolley?s away and has absolutely no respect for customers. Not sure why she?s working on the shop floor, as she does not know how to speak to customers and has no customer service skills. My mother did report this to the customer service desk when her trolley was pushed aggressively by Gail, with her bag and money in it, the customer service advisor said there?s nothing they can do and that they get complaints about her a lot. Not sure why she?s still there if she has had multiple complaints already?? Asda need to do something about this. Or give her more training???

Plenty of choice and stock.

Pharmacy is SHOCKING. Never working to a decent standard, take more breaks than they serve customers. Waited over an hour today with 5 members of staff behind counter and no queue. Pure laziness. Worst pharmacy in town by FAR

I like this store however, some of the quality is not good enough, as a consumer and a sales advisor working in a retail store should have higher standards. Yes staff are friendly and knowledgeable some products are good quality but some need more attention than others bread for example and fruit sometimes is not fresh I go there to get my weekly shopping customers should expect higher standards

Bread deliveries, specifically Warburton Toastie.
I totally understand why you are displaying bread which was delivered 2 or 3 days ago. It's to reduce waste, primarily for your bank account but also helps the planet.
However, as a customer I would prefer you to order less and have today's delivery on display. I would rather see an empty shelf than a shelf of 3 day old bread. I would happily choose an alternative if it's sold out.
Order fewer, sell it fresh.

Today, I discovered mould/green fungus on a loaf of bread I bought from your store, which I have attached pictures of for your reference. The expiry date on the packaging was indicated as 10th November 2024, yet upon inspection, it appeared that the fungal growth had been present for several days, suggesting that the bread was already spoiled before the expiration date. This raises serious health concerns, and I would appreciate your attention to this matter.
Additionally, I purchased a bunch of bananas on 11th November, and two of them were already rotten when I opened the bunch, which was disappointing.
As a regular customer who relies on Asda for monthly food supplies, I trust the quality of the products you offer. However, these recent issues have raised concerns about the quality control and freshness of some of the items.
Could you please look into these matters and ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future? I would be grateful for your prompt response and any actions you may take to address this.
Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
I have sent email as well
Thanks

I have just recently moved to this area, and have been a staunch Sainsbury?s and Tesco customer for pretty much ever. However, now Asda at Rugby is literally across the road from me, I decided to use their delivery service henceforth (I am looking after my poorly mum around the clock, so it's not quite so easy for me to get out).
The staff for both in-store and the delivery staff, are absolutely fabulous and could not be more helpful. I recently had a delivery of jumbo king prawns, which had a shorter date than I would've liked, and Asda immediately refunded my bank, with no arguments or quibbles.
Unlike Tesco and Sainsbury?s, who rarely have a delivery date I want, I have always managed to get my shopping delivered either that very day, or the next day from Asda, at a time to suit me.
The delivery drivers arrive when they are supposed to, you get a heads-up to tell you if there have been any substitutions, and the drivers are all utterly delightful.
Not only is their customer service outstanding, my shopping bills have literally been reduced by at least a third, which is incredible in this economic climate.
I truly don't want to be gushing, but honestly that's how I feel; the whole Asda experience has been exemplary, and I'm a total convert now.
A big thank you Asda, keep doing a superb job!

Love this store. Easy parking, easy to find what your looking for. Customer service is to the left of the entrance and tobacco products, vapes etc on your right when you go into the entrance, plus a lift and also click & collect!
Always found the staff helpful and polite. I only use the basket till or Scan & Go as I am not very good around people as I get really anxious but even if it comes up for a check, it's always been done quickly and no fuss!!!
Always staff around to ask and they always come across as welcoming.
But they got rid of their fitting rooms which is a shame

There appears to be a major issue with parking and Asda's use of parking eye. I tried earnestly to pay via cash of £3 twice and by card to pay for 2h 55 mins i have stayed. The machine said no charge. I left. I have got a fine for £40 if I pay in 14 days with threat of £70 if I don't and £70 if I challenge it. I can see this the not the first time this has happened. Asda sort it out !
