A great place for sending parcels they offer services for Evri, In-Post, Yodel, Royal Mail etc. Very handy and long opening hours too.

It?s very sad to see how rapidly this shop declined following the takeover in Summer 2024. While I allowed for some teething issues as the new family got used to running the place, it has been about nine months now and I?m regularly finding myself walking out without buying anything, because either the ?fresh? stock is rancid, or they don?t bother replenishing the things I always buy. It feels like management are buying the stock THEY want, and not what the customers want; this is very unlike the previous family who always took note of what was selling and did their best to replace the stock so we always knew it was there!
Furthermore, it?s not uncommon for the shop to be a mess, and it?s certainly a lot more filthy than it was this time last year - the grime and dirt is visible everywhere in the shop, and it really puts you off buying anything.
There is no customer care here and I no longer feel that friendly warmth when entering the premises. My boyfriend and I used to visit virtually every single day, and were happy to support the previous owners. Not so much any more, I?m sorry to say. I?d sooner get in my car and drive elsewhere and know I?m able to get the few items I need.
This shop used to be a cornerstone of our community, and the locals rallied together to prevent a Sainsbury?s opening nearby. I feel very differently now, however, and wish we had a better option for when we need produce of an at least semi-decent quality.

Who runs this circus now?
They've never got what I want so I think I'll go elsewhere where there's a better choice.
Sice this shop got taken over recently it has definitely gone downhill.

If I could give it 0 stars I would.
I went in for the first time to return a parcel by Evri. As I got to the till the lady and man pointed to the left and said "machine round the corner". I then turned around and fell over a large basket that had been put on the floor, causing bruising to my ankle. The couple behind the counter laughed at me and showed no concern that I had tripped over the clutter around their counter. They then offered me no help with the Evri parcel, so I scanned it and place it in the basket crate to be taken. As I am leaving they are noth saying "have you scanned it", so I said "yes and it's in the basket". To which they both laughed. Another customer then told me that if it wasn't scanned then it won't be taken. So I had to retrieve my parcel which was at the bottom of a crate pallet for them to scan. Then as I go to leave the shop a second time they are both still looking at me and laugh again.
I left this shop feeling completely humiliated and hurt, to the point I got in my car and cried. I will never be returning here again, as the staff have serious failings in customer service and the shop is so cluttered.

Lovely professional staff.
I was in this store on Friday 7th June in the afternoon.
There was a very rude lady trying to collect a parcel, I think she would be deemed a "Karen" in todays terms, the lady behind the counter remained calm and polite throughout. Excellent customer service skills ?
