Went Saturday evening, group of 6 work colleagues, atmosphere in the restaurant was poor.
We all decided to have food from the 'evening set menu.' Which seemed a good idea, but had to pay extra for some of the things on the menu.
Food was average, my calamari was overcooked and dry. When we got our bill my friend had been charged for a double vodka , but only had a single one, the staff were abrupt and rude when we challenged this.
We finished our meal at 9.30, so decided to go to the bar area for coffee. It was freezing cold in the bar, and we were told the coffee machine was switched off, and had been switched off for half an hour.
I find this very poor service when you can't order a coffee after you have had a meal.
We were told they were closing soon, and felt pressured to leave.
The service, atmosphere and food were very disappointing,
I have been using the Griff Beefeater for over 40 years, but certainly won't be hurrying back.
Dietary restrictions: No dessert opticians for diabetics

It?s a great place with a kid?s menu and a menu. There are a lot of things to get, and they are very tasty. I come here every Friday and it?s nice. But it also takes a long time for it to come. I really love the steak. Totally a 4 star!
Vegetarian options: Also there are vegetarian options for vegetarians.
Meaning that vegetarians might order something.
Parking: The parking lot is massive and can fit a lot of cars meaning that a lot of drivers can just come at the same time and park in the parking lot.

Fantastic staff who really look after you, food is as you would expect from a chain but nicely cooked and a family favourite, can honestly say we have not had a bad visit to The Griff House.
Dietary restrictions: Very aware of dietary restrictions and always ask as soon as seated, they have ingredient lists and also make a note if there are any restrictions on who and what at the table.

No food services at time stated online, did eat a meal here, mixed grill was just about warm when it arrived. Lots of staff around hardly anyone in there, all seemed to much trouble. Lots of people turned away around 8.45 saying drinks only. Very disappointed as we stayed at premier inn and it's next door.

Having paid over £500 for what we hoped would be a special meal, we were shocked with the quality of the food.
Soup starter was served lukewarm and tasted unpleasantly bitter and sour.
Main course was no better, with inconsistencies in the food on the plate. Certain party members were missing items, when we raised these issues with the staff, we were informed that the kitchen refused to replace the missing items, which was totally unacceptable and quite frankly the food was not nice all.
The coffee was literally undrinkable, tasting more like dishwater.
Sadly, the very poor quality of the meal and service ruined what should have been a joyous occasion.
We deeply regret choosing Beefeater for such an important occasion.
NEVER AGAIN.

I had low expectations for the Christmas dinner but this was absolutely shocking.
Paid £60 per person for Christmas dinner and the food was atrocious. The starter was barely edible, with an extremely acidic tomato soup, served with half the bowl full and no bread.
The main meal was all frozen garbage with seemingly reformed turkey. One pigs in blanket and barely any meat on the plate. Everything was swamped in gravy and a soggy mess.
The cheese board was another unworldly mess, with only three chunks of cheddar and half broken crackers. The coffee was absolutely shocking, like dish water, and the mince pies tasted like plastic.
Cheap, rubbish, daylight robbery in a meal. A pity on the staff as the waiting service were extremely professional and kind given the circumstances.

Pinnacle of the year christmas lunch for a party of 8 guests not the serving staffs fault or managers but food was like prison slop very disappointed decided to book for christmas celebration payed £511 up front fully committed would have had a better meal at the salvation army not even worth a star on the review very disappointed never again

My food came out wrong still tasted fine but was told there's things missing off the menu so they had to substitute, would have been nice for a heads up. However others on my table not so lucky, food under cooked salad looking dead and unappetizing. The food was later taken off the bill but would have rather just had the food come out correctly in the first place.
