Good be better. Outside tables don't look to have been wiped down since last summer. Used to be a great little village pub after a country walk and could be again. Has great potential. Needs some work though to bring back a clean, homely feel.

Booked a table for Sunday lunch, received booking confirmation. Arrived to be told the kitchen is closed, with an attitude because ?it?s been closed all weekend? like we should know. No mention of an apology just the attitude that it was our fault expecting to turn up for a reservation and actually be fed. Won?t be returning

Made a reservation through the online service earlier in the day, which we had recieved a confirmation email to confirm the booking had been accepted. Arrived at the restaurant to be told that the kitchen was closed, person on the bar wasn't very apologetic, can't rate the food as wasn't able to taste but do feel very let down by the poor booking system

Turned up only to be told that the kitchen is closed for a few weeks due to a lack of staff.Yet still promoting their menu ,place was deserted, finished our drinks and left.

This pub has changed. The pub doesn't serve food anymore.

Really sad to see a boozer on its knees like this. No food available as kitchen staff had walked out, garden overgrown, empty kegs stored by the main entrance. Cleaner hadn't been seemingly.

We booked for lunch weeks ago for 12 people and arrived to find their chef had left a week ago and they hadn't bothered/remembered to tell us.

Terrible treatment from this establishment. We booked at table for 6 people for a birthday celebration. Travelling from Solihull and Tamworth to this pub we had taxis to enjoy a drink. On arrival I went to the bar to order drinks and notify them we were here ti decorate the table with balloons etc. To my astonishment I was told that they would have to cancel our booking as they had run out of food. A group of 14 people had just walked in earlier and ate all the food apparently. Not even a call to cancel our booking before we arrived. I have also complained about this to the brewery but have had no reply. The Cock Inn at Wishaw managed to squeeze us in at very short notice and saved the day. So my review is to not go to The Green Man and try The Cock Inn.

Polite, friendly and helpful staff made this vist a true delight and well worth seeking a detour to discover if you have not found this pub already. Fresh tasty food was delivered promptly and all credit to the young chef working wonders in the kitchen. The four starters we sampled were all very well presented and well thought out and balanced dishes.
Well worth a visit again.
