Great wee pub. Called in for a Sunday roast and wasn't disappointed. Beef was cooked perfectly. Very reasonably priced. Staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. Views from beer garden beautiful. Will be returning over and over!

What a find! Stopped here for a drink and ended up eating as the menu looked so interesting. The special pork T Bone was delicious, cooked to perfection and well presented with its black pudding and apple mash. Simple and flavoursome ingredients made this an excellent meal!
The pub had a refurbished and is very welcoming, with great service to match. We will certainly return.

Popped in last night for some food and it was amazing, just couldn't fault the service or the food. All the staff were so friendly and the food - beef wellington and crispy chicken burger - was delicious, brilliant chef. Also found it very reasonably priced for the portion size and quality, many thanks for such a lovely meal. So good to have such a fab pub on our doorstep as it is always nice to support local businesses. One other thing......when the bill was produced there was no gratuity added. So many places automatically add this to a bill, or when you pay by card you have to tick yes or no to add a tip, thumbs up for leaving it entirely to the customer to decide.

The food at The Fox & Hen in Bascote was excellent. I started with the ham hock, which was full of flavour, followed by the chicken burger. It was beautifully presented, and the chicken was perfectly cooked ? moist and tender, not at all dry. For dessert, I had the chef?s special: a delightful selection of ice creams and sorbets, all of which were outstanding. The staff were also very attentive, making the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable.

This is a superb local place tucked away off the main roads & not too far from Southam, Harbury & Long Itchington. Highly worth a slight detour ... where you'll get 1st class freshly made tasty food, great beer and friendly attentive service.
Highly recommended.

Went to the Fox and Hen on the launch night of their new menu and I wasn?t disappointed. I had the prawn cocktail starter which was delicious. Makes a change to have proper prawns and not shrimps masquerading as prawns. The cocktail sauce was homemade by the chef and it was terrific. Previous visits to the fox and hen before it changed hands had proved a bit hit and miss when it came to steaks. No such problems this time. The rump was from Aubrey Allen do you know they supply quality meat and it was cooked to perfection. It cut just like a tender fillet. Desert was a deconstructed rhubarb and custard. It was incredible. This food has really raised the bar locally. Get down there and try it. You do t be disappointed.
