Beautiful place outside front and back, they go to town with the flowers... big waterfall, plenty of tables and umbrellas

Didn't eat here just attended the car boot selling ... its an ok carboot but the organisation of getting the booters in appears very stressful and chaotic they say they open at 10 for sellers. When we got there was hundreds of buyers and sellers it wasn't even 10am .. people had to be turned away as no room for sellers or parking

Most of the staff are friendly, however the food was an extremely small portion for what you pay for it, was cold and made me ill after. Drinks are very expensive compared to other local pubs. Lovely location on the canal

Lovely pub but I was disappointed that they had finished serving food when I arrived at 3pm one Saturday afternoon

Little bit torn. We were really looking forward to going here as we've heard good things, the garden outside right on the canal with plenty of seating and space, with two lovely willow trees was very nice. They also have stunning floral baskets outside.
The main issues were as follows. The food was very average, I thought it would be a bit better tbh considering the veiws and the price and it let's the pub down especially considering the location it has. I had a pie and the taste was good but there was hardly any filling, the chips weren't great and so I felt a little ripped off.
Also I have to say, the inside of the pub smells mouldy, damp and the carpets were filthy. It needs a clean up and redecorating. I regretted sitting inside because it smelled dank and there was no airflow.
There were also cigarette buts and dog mess in the garden, not nice especially when there's kids around.
I would go again but might wait a while as I saw the pub is up for lease so I'm curious to see what happens to the place. Seems like a bit of a gold mine of a business with the land they have.

2 stars given for the location and quality of the beer garden, it?s lovely and right by the canal. Ordered rolls x 4, chips and onion rings. Waited for food and waitress informed us that they no rolls left but just sliced white bread. What a disappointment. We cancelled the rolls but as we needed to eat ordered deep fried Brie and chicken bites. All the food was frozen generic and beige. Chips were French fries. The pub has so much potential and with good food it would be a gold mine. In hindsight we should have cancelled our order but had to eat. Perhaps I could have made a better decision if I was told at ordering that there were no rolls. I was told the reason for no rolls was a busy weekend, worth noting they are selling weekend rolls on Monday. My advice- Give the food it a miss, I?m sure they are other pubs on the canal.

Great pub

Great place, tables like little houses in a street, giving privacy at each place. Plus moorings and a camp site and function spaces. It's trying hard, and succeeding. Food is good quality pub grub. Beer choice could be wider, but how long IS a piece of string?!

Went for the Wednesday car boot, decent turn out, grabbed a couple of bargains ?
The portaloo was disgusting, thankfully able to access the facilities in the pub

Always happy to go there right by canal with beautiful willow trees over hanging that water:) just gives you that much needed peace . Staff is always above and beyond nice and helpful. Only had food there once and loved it.

Appalling experience for the second time here for lunch. On both occasions we waited for three quarters of an hour for our meal. When I eventually enquired when the food would be arriving, an ignorant barman loudly stated he was under no obligation to advise there would be a delay and, unbelievably said, 'And you lied about the time you ordered'! My side salad comprised some tired lettuce, half a tomato and a strip of onion. No chance of us bringing the family group here now; we'll stick to the local garden centre, with fresh hot food within 20 minutes, and pleasant service. No wonder pubs are closing.
