Awful customer service, to be fair, the duty manager is only doing what she's been instructed by Head Office. I am APPALLED that a manager in your store will not offer a refund on a pair of lightly worn 12 week old Nike Air trainers because it is a 'recognised manufacturing fault' that they make fartng noises when being walked in. This surely makes them unfit for purpose, which unless I'm wrong, makes them 'faulty' under Consumer Rights protection. If it's 'a recognized fault' then Sports Direct sold them to me knowing they were faulty and not fit for purpose. Surely that's false representation or fraud or some such thing?

I took my sneakers back for an exchange not even for refund. Both the managers and staffs were being racist and didn?t take it back from me. Such an awful experience.

Shockingly rude behavior from the store manager lady !!!!
I liked a football boot and asked for the size 7 the staff brought it and when we open the box we realised there were 2 different colors and obviously they were not pairs,asked straight to the store manager and she said on of the boots has been displayed and the color has faded (this is not the case) and i did not accept that and kindly asked if she could have look into the depot for the other pair and she insisted that it has faded ( that was not faded that was original 2 different colors) and i kindly asked again and she looked at me in a nasty way and shouted that it is faded in a very aggressive way.....i can not believe that i had to tell her calm down you are shouting to stop her shouting and being aggressive (Just wondering Could it be the reason i got this treatment from a store manager because of my foreign accent ?? )
This should not be a behaviour of a store manager even if she/he gets some silly demand or questions (i guess my demand was normal as i did not think the color was faded they were just 2 different color boots)

What an utterly sole-destroying (pun intended) experience! I went along with a screenshot of some trainers I was interested in and asked one of the assistants if they stocked them in the store. He gave me a very half-hearted mumbled response of ?oh if we do, they?ll be on those shelves over there? and vaguely pointed in the direction. No interest in what I was actually looking for, nor any offer to take me and show me where they might be. I did find some trainers I wanted to try on, but the attitude of the staff members was just awful, it was like I was inconveniencing them. (I visited on 30.6.24).

The worst customer service I have experienced in my life. I just asked a lady if you have this shoe in my size. I had not finished speaking yet, when she answered me in the worst way and said that it has nothing to do with me. Go ask someone else. Why doesn't anyone take care of the sellers there? It is really embarrassing. Maybe it's better to waste your time instead of having your head on the phone. Serve the customer

The staff are awful ? Really dont know how to talk to customers. They don't offer refunds anymore only store credit. Once I have spent my store credit I will never shop here again......

If you're a man looking for something don't bother they won't have what you are looking for you're better off online but not on their website £5 to have your item delivered to the store you must be joking going direct from Adidas it was cheaper and free delivery

I was shocked to see how a female employee who would not confirm her name to a customer can claim she is the manager for this store. She wasnt wearing her name badge ( and when asked by the customer who was making a complaint about a faulty item she refused to tell him. I don't think I have ever witnessed anyone behave in such an unprofessional manner ever, so rude and totally unacceptable. I was in the store Saturday 11th May when I saw this so called manager refusing to provide a refund/exchange for a customer who I think had purchased some trainers some 8 days ago and they were faulty.!! She tried to fob him off and told him to take the issue up with manufacturer. She refused to share any details about their headoffice and claimed she didn't have to tell him. She told him to return to the original store where he made the purchase from. And then to top it all off she then went and locked herself in the back room and refused to come out despite her own staff asking her too. She told the customer she didn't care about consumer rights and didn't have to do anything I.e provide any exchange or refund.
Trading standards should be involved here!!! How many more customers are being refused refunds by sports direct. If this company have any sense they should sack this so-called manager.
She needs to go and have a lesson in basic customer service skills, and educate herself on the consumer rights act 2015. Will never be shopping again at sports direct and I hope the customer gets it sorted.
I would give this store 0 stars if I had the option not worthy of even 1 star.

It is better not to buy anything in this place unless absolutely necessary.
The sellers (2 girls) were very busy with their business on their phones and completely ignored us.
Neither ?hello? nor ?goodbye?.
When I asked for the right size shoes, they did me a ?big favor,? as was evident from their displeased faces and loud sighs.
What a pity that the store has a good selection, but the employees do everything to prevent people from coming there anymore. It's strange that the store management considers this to be the norm.

I would leave zero if I could. Absolutely shocking customer service from the lady who was behind the counter when I went there this morning. First, I couldn't find anyone available to help me buy the trainers (there was only one foot on display); so I went to the till to ask for help. She was quite busy, understandably, so she asked me to wait. I did, by facing the big queue thinking by the time I got there she would have sorted it. Nope. When it was my turn she didn't even know the name of her colleague to ask to check the stock - so I offered to go and call him myself. Now, I want to make it clear my review is towards this girl behind the counter, not this lovely guy who I asked to check the stock for me. He stopped what he was doing to help me out. He brought me the trainers, off I went to the till again and this girl said I should enter the queue again. I said it was very unfair, she insisted; I was so shocked that I couldn't help myself but say "really? After I offered to help and ask your colleague to check the stock?" which she replied by saying I shouldn't have gone to the queue without both trainers anyway. How unprofessional, honestly! I then said I couldn't find anyone available to begin with, and left my trainers by the counter and left saying "great" customer service! I have a business of my own and I know the customer is not always right, but I bloody was and her confronting attitude was shocking. I hope they promote the lovely guy who helped me - he was putting new Wellington boots on display. They are also short of staff and this girl clearly doesn't know how to deal with customers. I get it when it's busy and things can be challenging, hence I gave her time to sort it by going to the queue instead of standing next to her to wait. It was very unfair and the unnecessary/confrontational comments were just unbelievable. I went to their competitor straight away to buy my trainers.
I usually don't leave bad reviews as I know how much it affects a business nowadays. But I really felt like this had to be shared - please hire the right people otherwise you will lose customers!
