Just been spoken to appallingly by a brunette miserable lady and refused a table despite the whole place being empty and the people behind us also didnt have a table yet they were then given a table.

We visited this Pizza Express around 6.30pm on Wednesday 27 February 2025. I give the date and time because I'd like Pizza Express senior management to note what we experienced. The pizzas were good, the staff were friendly and working their butts off, but there were not enough of them - two people to welcome, take orders, make drinks, serve food and drinks, and clear tables is ridiculous - cost-cutting gone crazy and will lose business. The staff didn't have time to clear tables so when we left at 7.15pm almost every table had uncleared plates, cutlery and glasses. The ambiance really spoiled our meal. We do not blame the staff; management, get a grip and spend some money on more staff.

Food was average, service was below par, constantly being asked when we want to order, told that we had 20 mins for desert and have to leave as the table was booked despite the restaurant being empty.. poor service overall.

Sadly, (Dec 30, early eve), huge staffing probs. Male 'Manager' very agitated, no contact whatsoever with 4, pre-booked customers, ourselves.
It wasn't busy at all but other than Chef no sign of next shift.
Rescued by truly delightful waitress who couldn't have been more helpful...so our post cinema visit was kinda rescued!
[The restaurant was very cold too...rather uncomfortable in fact & therefore not overly inviting].

This was our first outing with our son since he found himself in a wheelchair. The staff were helpful and supportive to us as well as him and a potentially stressful situation was made to be the same relaxing and enjoyable experience it used to be before he got ill, thanks to their consideration and help. Thank you! We shall come again.

I enjoy to come to this pizzeria because of so friendly service from Ian. I would say that such friendliness, helpful, kind person - it?s really rare to meet in restaurants! And if pizza - then highly recommend Sloppy Giuseppe on Romana thin base - for people like me who like spicy.

Amazing staff! We were terrible customers arriving 30min late , to a busy restaurant, with kiddie and baby. Staff couldn?t have done more to help, with baby feeding and kiddie allowed to help make his pudding. Fantastic experience!
