We stayed here for two nights, coming from the NEC and having other activity near Leamington. The hotel was handy for both. The cost was relatively cheap and I was slightly worried beforehand that it would not be a good stay. I was pleasantly surprised. The room we were allocated was large, with a vaulted ceiling, two tables, a large tv and a sofa. The bedding and towels were clean, white, good hotel quality. The bathroom was nice and modern and generally clean (although the bottom of the shower screen needed removing and given a clean). The breakfast was good and the food in the restauarnt excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at this hotel initially the entrance looked lovely and it was but then moving over to our room i was not impressed with initially look which proved to be correct the television did not work then when i went to use the wash hand basin it was blocked and the water would not drain away had to have a splash of the face using the bath taps which in turn were wobbling all over the place then discovered that there were more woodlice on the toilet floor than staff in the hotel looking at the pictures of bedrooms it looks really nice but having seen other rooms they were more or less the same as what we had i would not recommend anyone to stay at this place unless they checked out what they are getting before they book it

AVOID! On arrival I checked in with no problems, but was given a key to the room and told my lock was different to others. My room was on the ground floor (which is often not the case for solo female travellers). It was next to the men's toilets, which at the time were flooded, and you could hear everything from the room. On entering the room, it smelt awfully of damp. The wallpaper was peeling off of the walls, and there was lots of mould in the bathroom. The carpets had threadbare edges and were not properly fixed. Although decor isn't important, it was very dated and didn't match the images on their page. The lock was very stiff, and I have serious concerns regarding the fire safety of the room. Had there been a problem or a fire, I felt I could have been trapped inside my room. Again, as a solo traveller, my room had one single window, which was open, but too high for me to reach to close, making me feel very vulnerable. I decided to complain as the room was very poor and was potentially hazardous, both in terms of fire, mould and vulnerability of the guests. I was offered a different room (eventually) which I felt I had no choice but to accept. This room was better, but still had damp patches on the walls, some mould and a musty smell. I went to collect my things from the original room, and (proving my point about safety) the door handle came off in my hand. The new room was in the car park. Although better, I felt very vulnerable. A man stood across the car park looking at my windows. I am a seasoned traveller, but I didn't feel safe, and the rooms were awful. So I decided to find a different hotel, which advised me not to confront the staff and check out for my safety. So I just left. I complained to Booking.com, who have spoken with the hotel. However, they have refused to give me a refund for my stay, because I accepted the second room. What else was I supposed to do when I already felt unsafe? AVOID THIS HOTEL at all costs.

Just back from staying at this hotel. Myself and my husband were given what I can only describe as an attic room at the very top of the hotel. The stairs going up to the room are very narrow and quite frankly very dangerous. The room was extremely small and very dated. My husband is over 6ft tall and had to stoop to get in the room as well as the shower which wasn?t exactly safe as there was no non slip mat in the bath. My husband went down to complain and to ask to be moved and was told they were fully booked yet had a vacancy sign on the front window. We were also charged more than other family members who were staying there and we definitely got the worst room. Our room was cleaned when we were out for the day but our clean clothes that were sitting on the chair were dumped on the floor. My daughter and her partner had no lock on the inside of their door so had to sleep with a chair jammed against it ( they were in the rooms facing the car park) My elderly aunt and uncle were in the next room to us which as iv already stated the stairs were very steep and dangerous. I can honestly say I wouldn?t recommend this hotel to anyone and certainly won?t be returning. The pictures on their website are definitely not what the room look like so very misleading. I?m surprised they?ve passed the health and safety checks. Defo give it a miss

This is the second time that we have stayed in The Peacock hotel. We have always been very satisfied with the quality of service we have received. The manager was exceptionally good and resolved any issues that we encountered. We will hopefully book again next year. Thank you for looking after us.

We were given the wrong room after booking a twin. We were given a double and told there was nothing that could be done about it. The walls are paper thin so didn?t get a good nights sleep at all. Debated leaving and finding another hotel. Came back after being out the next day and someone else is in our room! Our room was changed without being told! After the room change it was a okay, but will never return!

I booked this hotel through Booking.com and paid in full. On arrival to the hotel they said they only take payment from booking.com if you don?t arrive and said I needed to pay direct. Although I thought it was odd I paid the hotel. It appears I have now been charged twice. On calling the hotel this morning I was asked for the CVC code from my card so they could refund me from the card I used ending 5556. I don?t own a card ending 5556. They said without the code they cannot refund but can offer another stay. The issue is on going and I will get my money back. This is fraud, avoid. The room 108, was very small, very dated and the hall to the room absolutely stunk of cannabis. There was limited hot water, running a bath the tank actually ran dry. Very disappointed with these guys, booking.com and my credit card Zable for not cancelling my transactions.
