Today it was the 2nd time I visited this store specifically for a ground coffee on sale. Unfortunately both times I was given expired products. The first time the lady at least apologized and said it was my choice whether to buy it. Today however the shop assistant tried to convince me that the only available box of ground coffee (expired last year!) was still fine to drink. Maybe it's technically safe, but certainly not acceptable in terms of quality, taste, or aroma.
Another issue is stock accuracy: the website says it's available, but in reality there's only one box on the shelf, which is misleading.
What disappointed me most is the poor customer service. I felt as though the staff didn't take me seriously or show proper respect. I'm not sure if this is because I'm not local, but it left a bad impression. This is not something I ever experienced in Robert Dyas' London stores. I've now learned that this branch is best avoided.

Awful experience after being challenged by the store manager outside the property asking wether I had paid for the goods approximately 10 yards from the entrance to the store. Walked back into store to retrieve my receipt from employee who served ( I declined a receipt after being asked if I wanted one) me from the Ryman till where I was asked to pay as they were busy serving customers at the Robert dyas tills. I expect a full apology for the Managers unprofessionalism.

Had a lot to buy and we spent all day looking for weed killer and came here and they had it literally right infront of the door so was very happy with that.

Wrong opening times on google maps. The employee said it is wrong on Google maps. Please correct it then as I drove 20 miles to buy something from here on 23/12 evening!

Some of the staff are lovely. And stock is good, but I went in 10 minutes before closing time and was browsing, but then shouted at really aggressively and rudely by a man with very long hair. Like I was trespassing on his property or something. No smile, just a glare like he wanted to hurt someone that someone being me. Shops close too early in lots of places in U.K anyway, maybe if they stayed open a couple more hours it would mean more employment, and some of us aren?t lucky enough to be able to do shopping before 5pm! Ridiculous

I'm tired of being talked to like an insignificant person. Ordered an item online. Couldn't see the email confirming receipt into store. Went in and asked the assistant and he found the item. When I said I hadn't seen the confirmation of availability the manager barked at me saying "check your spam - it's been sent". I later found it in my inbox so apologies on that point. BUT the point here is there are many of us that have lost businesses and jobs through Covid. Have some respect and professionalism. If not give the job to someone more engaging rather than be mildly aggressive in nature. Had problems here before along similar lines. Will not be ordering again. I'd rather go elsewhere. And no, I'll not respond to a request to contact customer service on any reply. Get staff that care and are friendly. This lady really had the attitude of I'm right, you're wrong. I wished her a good day and she just said and you in a gruff voice. Get someone in there that cares.
