Have improved service found the staff to helpful
October 2023 by Clare Hasprey
I have used Dudley Taylors for many years, and like all the Pharmacy during trying times they have had shortages of medications, but the staff have always been lovely and very helpful. With the NHS having the challenges they have it is clear that the Pharmacists are being put under knock on effect with pressure. But they work flat out and always try to helpful.

No desire to be helpful. Told they had what I needed but come back in 2 hours "as the pharmacist despite being still here is about to go to lunch". No signposting to other pharmacists or any attempt to be helpful. If anything the older lady looked quite content to turn me away.

This is an excellent pharmacy : a true friend to those in desperate need. I needed some emergency medication while visiting this village -- near the time when pharmacies normally close early in a weekend. By instinct, I requested NHS111 to send the request to Boots -- a pharmacy which after all has nationwide presence. Alas, the pharmacist (in training) on duty told me he hasn't got the authority to access my nhs records. Thankfully, he pointed me to Dudley Taylor. The staff on duty are kind and helpful, and even allowed me to ring NHS111 on their landline to get the requisite authorisation for my medication to be issued. What a relief when I got the medication. Thank you -- and thank you NHS111.

Very good service have tablets some other pharmacies do not have. Be prepared to queue, though. First class service, thank you.

Usually have a good experience, but marred today by an extremely rude an impatient older lady behind the counter who eye rolled at me twice as I was trying to get my words out before barking at me ?NAME?! Insisted they didn?t have the prescription and had to go back to docs. 30 mins later doc says they were definitely sent it. I feel so sorry for those working there who are so lovely and try their hardest. The level of customer service I experienced today from this individual was diabolical. She needs further training at the very least.

JUST USE BOOTS IN TALESMAN SQUARE (20 SECOND WALK/NO QUEUE). Lynn issued me with the incorrect medication she then refused to replace it. When she finally realised it had been the pharmacy's error she then became very rude and passive-aggressive. Lynn then proceeded to act as if she were doing me a favour by waiving the fee for the correct medication. She then tried to make me feel guilty about her throwing away the incorrect medication she had issued me with which was unopened and by means not my fault. When I did the correct thing by staying calm and walking away Lynn then followed me and began shouting at me. I have withdrawn from Abbey GP as a result of this.

If you want your prescription lost and to have to walk back and forth from the dr to figure out who lost it (it's always the chemist), to wait in insanely long queues then when you get to the front, find out that they haven't prepared your script and you have another 45m wait while they bag it up, only to find out they don't have half the stuff in stock and you will have to come back another two or three times or so and do it all again... Then this is the pharmacy for you!

I had left a prescription with them to fill on the 13/09/2022 to date they have not filled it. It is a critical medication for an epileptic person. This isn?t the first time and I know it won?t be the last. They currently have a prescription with them which was sent to them on the 13/12/2022. I chased them multiple times and they have only filled the prescription today over 4 days later. Terrible service and they never answer their phone.

Lynn French is brilliant. Always makes time to talk to you and is very good and knowledge. Tresa however is awful. 6 times she asked if I wanted my medication and threatened to send it back because my prescription was changed by my GP. I literally got down on my knees and begged for my painkillers. She then open up the boxes on the front counter to count them.

The repeat dispensing service, which requires agreement with the doctor, and is renewed annually works very well.Their workload is enormous, so whilst negative comments reflect some realities, patents can help by giving plenty of time for collection.I have been in their situation ; it is not fun! I recently visited Dudley Taylor in Kenilworth three times, as my prescription had been sent their by mistake, the service is unbelievably slow. I can only surmise that the systems and methods in the shop need seriously updating so that the staff can do their job properly. It must be very frustrating for everyone, I witnessed a man last week walking out as he was so fed up with the service he got.

I have never had problems with this pharmacy, lovely staff and even when theyre busy they still make time for me. After 6 or 7yrs here I give them a break when they're behind, they do their best and they don't control what stock they have in. Very kind, helpful, caring staff. Thank you xx

Despite being a busy pharmacy and being only human, staff are helpful, knowledgeable and patient.

I have moved pharmacy's due to the long queueing times, prescriptions not being ready and items missing. They walk around like headless chichens, tottally oblivious and ignorant not even a sorry for keeping you waiting.
