We rang here in dire need of a table as we had left it late to eat and they went out of their way to accommodate us. The food was fantastic, the service was extremely friendly and the general atmosphere was lovely. I will be definitely coming back here!

Called in today for a friends 60th, easy to get to (we came from Northampton) lots of parking and the Sunday lunches were excellent plenty of beef and honey roasted gammon (soo tasty) when our plates were served and separate vegetables plus a good meal for the 3 vegetarians in our group and 1 coeliac. I?d drive an hour again for the service and tasty food ?

Recently visited on a Thursday evening. Such a lovely country pub, great atmosphere, amazing food (the best veggie lasagne in a long time!!) and lovely staff! Highly recommend.

Lovely pub, we went on a Wednesday evening so was quiet and peaceful. Staff were lovely. The food was great, hot and yummy! They had a wide range of gins available. It was also a very affordable meal of 2 mains for £24. Will be visiting again.

Another excellent meal at the Golden Cross with friends! Hosts friendly, helpful and efficient as always. Food home-cooked and tasty with generous portions and such good value for money! £30 per head for lovely main course, shared pudding and 2 drinks each.

The food is absolutely gorgeous, so fresh and tasty and the portions are super generous. Lovely country style pub with a log burner. Staff are also super friendly and welcoming.
We visited in our campervan and stayed the night. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be visiting again! ??
