If you are looking for a quality Sunday lunch at the Queens head you will be disappointed!
I booked a table for 12pm, on arrival there were only two other people in the bar so it wasn't busy but we waited for 45 minutes before our food was served, no one came to us to apologise for the wait. Now bearing in mind they are charging £15.95. per head the quality of the food was terrible!
The roast beef was overcooked and thinly sliced it looked as if it came out of a vaccum pack from a supermarket, the chicken was dry, the vegetables were over cooked the coliflour cheese had more cheese than coliflour, the yorkshire pudding was obviously out of aunt bessies bag, the roast potatoes were anemic the mashed potatoes were very yellow and tasted awful, very strange.
The guy behind the bar was lovely and friendly also the young lad waiting on our table but the manager/owner, oh my goodness, I think he was last in the queue when they were giving out people skills! When I complained he was so rude he said 'well you didn't leave much!' Yes we tried everything on the plate how else can I give an opinion?! we certainly didn't eat much. It is a great shame because the pub is set in a lovely village.

First time visitors to the Queens head pub. Food catered for Gluten Free and veggie GF.
Lots of choice on the general menus. Fantastic value. Nice atmosphere, great gardens and plenty of parking. Glad to be able to take our dog inside or outside

Lovely friendly country pub. Service was very good and food was tasty and plenty of choice on the menu. Also very resonably priced. We will definitely eat here again.

Just wanted to say how amazing the owner was to us on our very first visit. Got stuck there during a thunderstorm and the owner very very kindly drove us to our campsite. Above and beyond service!!!
