Rooms: Rooms are pretty good. Not modern but large and en-suite is really good. High ceilings and decorated in keeping with the age of the property.
Safety: Ok.
Walkability: Easy walk into town.
Food and drinks: Excellent!
Noteworthy details: Built in 1725. Florence Nightingale stayed there in her time as did Charles and Diana in 1985.
I found the hostess a little bit "guarded" and not particularly friendly. Richard was lovely and his cooking is second to none! Dinner and breakfast was first class.

We stayed in room 4 just for the 1 night . The hosts were fantastic . The room was clean and well kept . We had a great nights sleep and woke up to the best breakfast I have ever had . I?m not sure how they do it for the price they charged . Thank you for a fantastic stay . See you again soon

What a lovely hidden gem, such great value, a warm welcome and stay, and the reason to come back: the food. Can?t wait to come back
Rooms: Comfy bed, decent pillows, and a good shower. They do the trick
Walkability: Nice short walk from the train station if you not travelling by car
Food and drinks: Absolutely worth making a point of having dinner while staying, the food is really delicious. A really thoughtful menu with locally sourced items throughout

From the outside of this place its very beautiful and in a very lovely location,
I am not one to write negative reviews but when it efforts health then its in my best interest so it can be avoided by others or issue can be addressed Appropriately
As soon as you walk in there is a strong smell of damp or something which effected my Asthma ( which nearly weeks on and my asthma is still affected)
We got told they upgraded us to the Supreme room instead of a standard double , we get show to our room and there was marking on small pillow and break lamp and there was fair few Stains on the side and lamp is broken to, the room as 2 little doors to the bath room and one of the doors keep getting stuck which started panicking as got stuck a few times the bathroom , its a small bathroom , i could of coped with this but to top it all off, the bed and mattress was very hard it felt like we was sleeping on the floor, i didnt have no sleep at all nor didn't my partner ( which is a complete waste of money you book places like this to sleep )
we stayed on 20/6/2024 for my sister in law wedding
I had breakfast the bacon looked under cooked with to much fat on it and mushroom was far to Grease
Staff seemed to be okay but they clearly don't like standard class people ( my opinion)
not worth the money or if you had breathing issues like chronic asthma or copd or any like this please find somewhere more appropriate
Place Needs a refresh and please sort the damp issue before it effects other people health

If you enjoy fantastic food, great wine, and welcoming hosts, you?ll love The Chapel House. With all the splendour of a well-preserved Georgian building, this gem - located in the heart of the medieval market town of Atherstone - is a timeless retreat.

The food is excelent and the staff very helpful. It has parking but it's quite limited. The bedroom was small but clean, comfortable and really well equipped. The only downside that I found was that it took about 10min for the water in the shower to come out hot, which is not very
