“Had afternoon tea with extra savouries. It was brilliant. There was so much food for the price. For £2.95 there was 4 large vol-aux-vants, 4 large pigs in blankets & gravy & cranberry sauce. The main tea consisted of 8 sandwiches, 4 scones with cream & jam, 2 mince pies & 10 little cakes for 2 people with lots of tea & coffee. We were both bowled over with it. The two women working there were so cheerful & attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.”
