I called in at the Wrexham branch of Barclays bank today to provide the necessary documentation to deal with a bereavement. I was assisted by Dawn who I found to be efficient, empathetic, and thorough in all aspects of the process. All in all, it was a good experience.

Had to register a power of attorney with Sonia in Wrexham. She was extremely helpful, friendly and thorough. She was ready for me on my arrival time and careful to check everything. Peter who booked my appointment was also very helpful and friendly. Thank you.

Had an appointment with Dawn today to discuss savings plans. She was extremely polite and helpful and there was no pushy selling and I felt very comfortable in the decisions I made with the information she provided.

I avoid using the branch as much as possible. Swapping human cashiers for machines was the worst move possible. I've stood behind an elderly gentleman who was clearly struggling with mobility being told to come back the day after when the machine was unable to process his cheque. Another older lady was really struggling to get to the branch due to the pedestrian zone it's located in. She couldn't park close enough.
Limiting the hours of the cashiers makes the branch even more unuseable for people who work mon-fri 9-5. Queues are usually large and slow to move.
The really frustrating thing is there's so many staff on hand to help people use the machines, surely, they could just staff a counter service?!
l've banked with Barclays for 40 years but am gradually moving all my accounts away from them due to the changes they've made to local branches.

Thank you Nicola and the team for your help this morning. Busy period so it was clear and solid communication allowing me to go for a coffee and come back at the time for me to be seen then. All my issues solved fairly quickly and only downside being that I had to drive for an hour to get to my closest branch

Had a meeting with Dawn at wrexham branch today and I must say she was fantastic . Such a warm lovely person who explained everything so clearly to me and gave me complete peace of mind. I wouldn't hesitate in dealing with down again.
