Considering the Road house isn?t that far from my home, for some reason we never considered it. I follow you on Instagram and was in awe of your Sunday Lunches and Lunchtime meals and yet we never got around to visiting. Well it was my birthday last week and so my mother and I decided it was the perfect excuse to have some nice food. I was a little skeptical because I was under the impression that the Roadhouse was expensive high quality food that was a little too posh for me and my two toddlers to come and destroy. It?s hard to find anywhere homely to enjoy a meal where they aren?t a disruption. Well we went regardless and were instantly welcomed by a warm and vibrant atmosphere. A lovely woman (Young, dark brown hair, I?m so sorry I forgot her name but I told her I was leaving a review so please be acknowledged if you remember me). Instantly we were seated in a secluded conservatory where there were toys and play things for my kids(huge relief). Full table service, great deals on the food and she even helped to make the final decision on two meals I really fancied. Me and my mother had the Beef Bourguignon. It was incredible. Tender and fresh, in fact all the meals coming out looked very homemade and delicious. The price was reasonable as well, you?d pay the same for basic pub grub but this was far more flavourful and with fresh ingredients, even with the same items on the menu. The desserts were also homemade and very tasty. We were checked on regularly and had all needs met. The environment was very clean, including the bathrooms and we found that the place itself was in general very family friendly. We cannot wait to come back and finally have that Sunday lunch! Thank you for your hospitality, this will be our usual place to go for high quality dinner dates in the future.
(I wish I took photos of the food itself but instead I was so excited I just dived in haha. Please buy your waitress a drink, she deserved it)

Great food. Lots of variety. Lively atmosphere and really helpful and friendly staff. If you?re local or if you?re just passing through this is a top class place to eat. Highly recommended

Stopped off at the Roadhouse on the way back from looking at our new house, son said ? best steak ever? it really was excellent, great service from Hayfa, can?t wait to come back soon

We went for an early evening meal. We were one of 3 groups there and we should have guessed what the food was like by the amount of food left by one of the other tables as one person had left a full meal. The rice was out of a microwave packet and the naan bread was stale, the chips I had were cold. Everthing was very greasy and there was some kind of sauce over the onion rings we ordered. When the staff asked how our meal was we said it was awful as one of us could not eat it, they just laughed and presented us with the bill. We usually give very generous tips but the onlt tip I would give is not to go here for food and go a bit further up to The Rising Sun Inn as this is a 100% better than the meal we had in the Roadhouse. Extremely dissapointing and very overpriced.

This roadside restaurant is an absolute gem! The warm welcome and friendly staff set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The food was top-notch, with a large menu with many different options. The quick service, generous portions, and charming countryside view made the visit even more delightful. It's a must-visit for anyone looking for great food and a welcoming atmosphere on their travels.

Went here for Sunday Lunch with friends. Food was absolutely lovely and liked the fact it was served on a large sharing board so everyone could have exactly what they wanted rather than plates piled high with food. The staff were very friendly, we were served by Ania and Tia, they were both very polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them and were lovely to have a chat with while being very efficient at their job. Excellent experience had by us all.

I had the triple burger, my wife had the sirloin steak. Everything was cooked perfectly, lovely flavours and textures throughout, we both have large appetites and it took 20 minutes each to eat! Fair play one of the best eateries we?ve been to in years and we will definitely call in again when passing! Superb.
