The Boat, a gorgeous little pub along the river, is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the stunning setting. You can tell it?s really well managed by a very friendly bar manager, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're stopping in for a drink or a meal, it?s a lovely place to unwind by the water.

Loved this pub at the riverside. Great food and really friendly service. Sitting next to the river to eat was a delight.

Attended with my family yesterday. Brought drinks and asked about food. I was told by a member of staff that he was not taking any food orders for 45 minutes. Fair enough it was bank holiday.
Five minutes later the very same person handed a menu to a customer. Understandably I challenged it. I was told he had been waiting 45 minutes. So they were taking food orders!!
When I asked how do you know? He advised it was in his head!! He then accused me of being lairy!! I promised I never raised my voice.
He may need to understand how serving someone immediately after refusing me service may look but could not comprehend it as in "his head" he was doing brilliantly
Really poor customer service from a pub in beautiful setting. Could have and should have been handled differently

Great little pub on the edge of the river. Stopped here halfway through a 35km cycle from the forest for a pint.
Two of us shared a tuna sandwich which was a perfect lunch for us. It comes with chips and a salad so would be a bit heavy to continue the ride but it was a generous filling and delicious.
Beautiful views and welcoming, friendly staff.

Didn't stay the night so can't comment on the room's. This is a small old, cosy little country pub with a very attractive terraced garden that overlooks the river.

Cycled here from Bracelands campsite. Lovely pub by the river. Prices not too bad for a holiday location and the sandwiches and burgers were more than acceptable. Well worth a visit
