Went to Pughs Wenvoe with granddaughters and husband. Everyone enjoyed the coffee, milkshakes and cakes.

Excellent service and great choice of food and Sweet treats

One of my favourite places to eat in South Wales. Lovely atmosphere, great for brunch with a great selection included loads of vegetarian options. Chocolate brownie is decadent. The cafe/restaurant itself is lovely but what is good is that there is a secluded small but fun play area for children to play in whilst you wait for your food (it is outside!)

The food is interesting and always appetising with a well thought out menu. The staff are attentive, polite and helpful. I always have a good experience here because staff actually care.

Had afternoon tea today at Wenvoe. Such a lovely range of both sweet and savory goodies, all of which were presented beautifully. Staff were very accommodating, bringing extra water and milk for our teas as well as a jug of iced, lemon water. Boxes for any items we were too full to eat there and then was a nice touch. Couldn't fault it and such a great way to catch up with friends.

Very accommodating and friendly, lovely relaxing area to sit while waiting for the interactive wildlife workshops to start, very understanding with children with additional needs; plenty of food and drinks to choose from as well as a good partnership with loyalty app deals. Will continue to come here and use this service. I?ve enjoyed my experiences every time.

Ah, the Orange Tree Café at Wenvoe Garden Centre ? the perfect place if you're craving the atmosphere of a garden centre showroom, the acoustics of a concrete underpass, and prices that make London cafés look like budget diners.
Let?s begin with the decor: walls absolutely smothered in fake greenery that?s seen better days ? dusty, faded, and aggressively artificial. It's like someone shouted, ?Let?s make it feel natural!? and then aggressively stapled plastic plants to every surface until the fire marshal got nervous.
Then there's the seating. Hard, cold, metal chairs that may actually be a leftover prop from a low-budget dystopian film. Genuinely baffling how something could be that uncomfortable ? unless they?re trying to encourage a quick turnover by making sure no one wants to sit for more than 6 minutes.
Now, on to the food. £15 for a sandwich. Yes, fifteen actual pounds ? and no, it doesn?t come with gold flakes, a side, or even dignity. That?s just the sandwich. Coffee? Lukewarm. Presumably to match the enthusiasm of the menu, which had a grand total of two vegetarian options? both of which were unavailable. The staff (bless them, still smiling somehow) pointed to the specials board ? all meat apart from a soup. Because nothing refreshes you on a hot summer day quite like sweating through a bowl of boiling vegetable puree.
The cakes looked like they'd been auditioning for a role as building materials: dry, stiff, and with the sort of shelf life you only see in horror films.
And just when you think it can?t get worse, the acoustics kick in. The entire place echoes like a gymnasium inside a tin can. Between the clatter of cutlery, screeching chairs, and general conversation, it?s impossible to hear yourself think ? which, honestly, might be a blessing if you're trying to forget you just paid £15 for disappointment on bread.
Two stars. One for the staff who clearly deserve a raise and therapy, and one for the fact I made it out without having to remortgage my house after glancing at the dessert prices.
Would I go again? Only if I forget, and even then, I?d probably turn around at the sight of the first plastic vine.

Superb breakfast but not cheap: £13.
Freshly cooked, the works: bacon, sausage, egg, beans, black pudding, hash browns, tomato, mushrooms & toast.

This afternoon I took my mum in law for afternoon tea as a Mother's Day treat. The staff were very welcoming (and cheerful !) which is always a good start isn't it. The restaurant was quite busy but we were straight away shown to our Reserved table. We were slightly early but this wasn't a problem for our waiter who brought us tea and coffee as we waited. Well, when the food came we were salivating as he explained each piece. Wow ? absolutely delicious ?. Crisp pastries, chilled to perfection delicacies served beautifully presented. An absolute treat. Doggy bags were provided when requested ?Definitely worth trying and we will no doubt be returning. Thank you so much for a fabulous afternoon ?

A lovely coffee shop inside a treasure trove. Great menu, delicious food (no vegan options), but I had a delicious cup of Gingerbread latte, oat milk and vegan cream. Family/community vibes and a very warm welcome!
