Convenient for Cardiff, well located, and average price. However, although it's clear that the hotel does not provde airconditioning, this meant the the room was exceptionally hot. The windows do not open more than a small crack, and it was unpleasant and difficult to sleep because of this. A fan was provided, but until modernised with air conditioning (or portable units for the bedrooms) the heat is a problem. Disappointingly, I found a number of staples on the floor of my room - concerned that this could have caused an injury if I had been walking in bare feet, and raises questions about the cleaning. I've stayed there before without issue and hope that this is just a one off problem (although the heat and lack of airconditioning should be addressed).

Checked in around 6pm after a long drive (4 hours) from London. Given room 3 on ground floor. No air conditioning and temperature sensor said room was 26.5 degrees! Apparently all other rooms fully booked. This hotel advertises its rooms as having air conditioning but reception told me ?not all rooms?. This is the second time I?ve been booked into a substandard room on the ground floor at Premier Inn (different locations) when on a flex booking! Beware- if you don?t check in as early as possible (2pm) in any Premier Inn it seems you get the rubbish last rooms they have. Premier Inn is ?meant? to have a standard that all rooms meet. This is obviously not the case if you get one on the ground floor.

We stayed here last Saturday night. Great location for visiting Llandaff & Crdiff. Hotel is a little dated but rooms were fine. Staff were really helpful & friendly. Disppointing that there was no room for us at breakfast on Sunday morning ...

Always try to stay in Premier Inns as you know what to expect but this one [Cardiff West] is in a excellent position for Cardiff and Barry Island .From the male staff in the Premier Inn to the female manager and staff in the Beefeater[ Walston Castle] next door who were excellent Nothing was too much trouble If i came back to South Wales it would be here Well Done

We booked a week at this hotel back in February as part of a touring cricket team. We were not able to get to the hotel until mid week. When we arrived at 7pm on Wednesday night we were told that our reservation had been cancelled and there were no other rooms available. We had to find another hotel at that time of night with tired, hungry kids. Also, we could not spend the week with the rest of the cricket team. All in all, very disappointed and frustrated. I rang the customer service team, they offered me a refund for the last two days only and these were the cheaper nights so I didn?t even get half of my money back. There was no other compensation offered for the inconvenience, frustration or the fact it spoilt the week not staying with the rest of the team, or the fact that they have had my money for all those months as I paid so far in advance. I would suggest people are aware of the lack of flexibility when dealing with Premier Inn customer complaints.

The good points are plenty of parking and a great location, also the breakfasts were alright. Having read other reviews we decided not risk eating dinners in the restaurant and ate elsewhere. We often travel to this area but will never stay in the Premier Inn again. After a 4.5 hours drive we arrived at 2.40pm and were told by a rather officious receptionist that we'd have to pay £10 to check in early!!! We sat in reception for 20 minutes to save the £10. We weren't the only ones. What a joke! The place could do with a deep clean and the waiting staff should be taught to "never go anywhere empty handed". When delivering full plates to a table why not take the empty plates away with you? The tables in the restaurant were tacky and the floor was pretty grim. On the morning of 31st July there was only one poor waiter on duty and he was being pushed to the limit, poor bloke. We were only provided with one bath towel in the bedroom, although there were plenty of pillows on offer. We had to seek out a housekeeper to find an additional towel.

Well wasn?t aloud to book in till 3pm unless we paid a £10 fee even thou we arrived at 14.45, and the beefeater restaurant was solo ran by jackie the waitress poor sole was doing everything and done a great job bless her, dealt with customers orders very efficiently, well deserved a pay rise tip marks girl.

Excellent hotel to stay at. 15 minutes from city centre. Room clean and comfortable. Brilliant breakfast on two mornings we stayed there. Had an evening meal there- top notch. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will return

Poor hotel very tired. We arrived an hour before our check in so asked if the rooms were ready. The rooms were ready but if we washed them before 3pm we had to pay an extra £10 early check in fee? Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was humiliating as we were not down in the just as being paid. We had paid during check in but we weren?t on the list and so we were made to wait while the waitress went to check with reception that we had paid? It was awful. Never again

Jackie in the restaurant has been the most pleasant and friendly staff member we've ever had the pleasure of being served by. Whilst having to serve most tables she appeared to be engaging the customers at all tables. A credit to the business.

Not the massive beds that we are used to in Premier Inn. Air con not working and as we arrived at 1am we didn't notice the office fan on the desk so melted the whole night. Our mistake but don't have an air con panel if it doesn't control anything. 20 mins from Cardiff airport. Convenient, at 50 quid a room it's cheap enough..

I was ask to pay more than double that what I was quoted, was only when I show my confirmation booking number The not friendly Receptionist check back to the computer and charge me the right rate, but not any apoligies where made, but the rest of our stay was made up by the efficiency and very friendly staff during Breakfast and Dinner.

A fantastic stay, quiet hotel in a lovely village. Our room was at the end of the corridor so nice a quiet, staff were really nice to us they made us feel welcome, and booked us a table in the restaurant next door, the food was really good.

Stayed in premier in Wenvoe , a particularly stressful situation with a family member being admitted to hospital and caring for my elderly father also . The staff were amazing kind and helpful. A particular shout out for Nel wonderful , thoughtful, kind manner of staff and also Baz , superb . Brilliant ambassadors for the company Thankyou
