“Having been to Morrisons in Oswestry and been in a queue to be told when we got to the till there was no hot food because of electricity supply problems we travelled on to Welshpool for the roast dinner as it was a Sunday. We arrived well before 1 o’clock to be told they only had one roast chicken dinner left even though it was served until 2.30 pm. I thought a Sunday would be a popular day for a roast and they would have plenty of ingredients being in a supermarket. This is not the first time this has happened. It’s was very disappointing so we had to toss a coin for it. My husband lost and had to have the fish and chips instead. There was a special offer on of 2 main meals and a drink for £10 which was good value for money. we both enjoyed our meals which were well cooked and tasty. Will call in again and hope next time we both can have the roast chicken dinner.”

“What a delightful little Post Office, village shop and filling station - a real gem in a stunning but very remote location. I was only sad that I couldn't buy fuel - my bike only runs on E5. Even though I didn't need any, I would have topped up my bike just to help places like this to keep going. As it was, I had a coffee and a chat to the lovely lady who served me. There was even a picnic table, loo and bin on site. Fabulous - we're so lucky to have places like this.”
