Rang 20 times to make a reservation and got no answer. If this business is still in business then they should answer the phone or get an answer machine. Did not go here.

Probably the most comfortable hostel I have ever stayed in. Beds were very comfy and extremely sturdy. Showers were all en suite and warm. Communal space and cutlery were good. Cafe food was excellent albeit not the fastest and the shop was OK. Staff were friendly and flexible. EV chargers worked. Overall I would definitely stay again.

Met here with 9 friends. We had morning coffees followed by the most delicious lunches. (have the chips!!) We all chose different things to eat, the food was beautifully presented and the staff were a delight. We?ve booked to come back in December!

You need the locals and all you do is push them away. Steak burger - Soggy bun. Undercooked chips. Chicken burger - Soggy bun. Undercooked chips. Pizza - pictures posted on Facebook NOT what we got. They make out they sell homemade pizzas however, for £4.50 they sold us a frozen pizza which we could have bought from the shop (from Canolfan Fron's shop) for £1.70. We complained on Facebook and received a thumbs up response. They don't give a s**t the food was inedible and made us VERY ill. £30 for that disgusting mess. From the shop to the chef you just get worse and worse sort it out and take care of your locals without them you'll fail and the canolfan will go under, you're in the middle of nowhere.

We stayed here after a day spent climbing Snowdon and we are very tired upon our arrival. Unfortunately, And understandably, due to covid restrictions the kitchen had to be closed but we were granted access to use the kettle and television. The hostel is part of a community venture attached to a shop and community centre and is a good place to stay. The rooms are modern with comfortable beds and very clean, we felt very safe staying here during coronavirus. It was quiet and a peaceful village and the wet roomAttached to our bedroom was great with a really hot lovely shower. The staff member who greeted us was kind and friendly and made us feel very welcome. There is a café as well but sadly this was also closed due to refurbishment. Had all of the services been accessible to us I?m sure we would have given it five stars and we will certainly recommend this place to anyone wishing to stay in the area, especially as it is only 25 minutes drive from the Snowdon car park area.

This is a fantastic conversion of the old village school, funded by lottery money and now run by volunteers from the small local community. There are plenty of beautiful walks to be done from the location, including Snowdon not far away. The accommodation has everything you need, including the use of a very well-equipped communal kitchen. Breakfast is also available in the cafe, with stunning views of the mountains. There is a number to phone if you need anything at any time - the volunteers are always happy to help. The underfloor heating keeps the rooms warm and there is everything else you would want for a comfortable stay at a very reasonable price. A great project to support. Well done Dai and the rest of the team!
