“My wife and I have been customers for a long time at Ebbw Vale Optical Centre. We have always found the staff Justine and her colleagues extremely helpful. Over the last year or so I have been suffering with cataracts on both eyes. As a result I attended the centre before Christmas 2023. Tests carried out by Donna the Optician suggested cataracts which should be removed. To say I was apprehensive is an understatement!. I began to think of excuses not to do so. However with Donnas advice and encouragement I went ahead. Arrangements were made for me to visit Mr Girgis a specialist in cataract removals. Just before Christmas I had surgery at the Spires in Bristol by Mr Girgis on both eyes, absolutely brilliant. The whole process was first class from Donna's initial examination to the actual surgery and after care including follow up was also first class. My eyesight is now almost 20/20 which is fantastic!!. I offer my sincere thanks to Donna and her team at Ebbw Vale and Mr Girgis and his team at St Josephs and Bristol for their wonderful work which has now resulted in me not needing glasses after some 70+ yrs!!”
