Lovely menu and really well cooked food. We had lots of snacks - pickled mackerel, rarebit, croquettes- and mains - beef with confit potatoes and anchovy mayonnaise. Great service and good drinks too!

My wife, our two dachshund lady and myself visited this gem on Saturday 19th April for lunch. Had a wonderful selection of nibbly starters - the roe and potato skins being the highlight. All followed by the most perfect Duck main course. Possibly the best duck dish we?ve ever had and all elements working in harmony to deliver an excellent plate of tasty food. House Red Rioja (by the carafe) very drinkable and service all round of a high standard. Thoroughly recommend and will return before too long

It was shut and we never wanted to wait for 40 minutes. But they let us use the loo. This Inn has Always been accommodating but bad timing on our behalf. We were disappointed. Maybe next time ?

Dear vegan reader, where to begin? The menu, as you can see, does not take too kindly to our sort of folk. On booking well in advance, however, we were promised that this was the vegan season to be jolly. Indeed, the fava bean panisse for starters was fantastic, however the joy unfortunately ended there. Your main course will essentially consist of a warm salad of chickpeas, tomatos and courgettes, for which you will be expected to cough up a choice 22 great British pounds. Let?s be honest, no recommendation from a glorified tyre company can possibly evade the inescapable conclusion after a meal such as that: frankly pathetic. I truly wish I could have said something more positive, but I am obliged to warn you lest you repeat my folly.

A great find in a small village. We booked in advance which was worth doing. The food was excellent. Felt like the chef is really pushing traditional pub food into a contemporary space. We went with children and they were able to make a kids fish and chips off menu.

Great little pub. Lovely ambiance, understated yet classy. Beer is kept to a decent standard but the food is exceptional. Could do with an extra veggie option or two though.
