Called in on way back from a trip on a Friday evening. Place was empty apart from one table but people back and fore collecting takeaways. Waiter service was very friendly and efficient. We opted for a starter and main and both were the perfect portion size and delicious. I tried the house red wine and this too was fab.
We definitely recommend this restaurant, and would return again. There?s just an couple of observations, the interior could do with a little refresh as a bit dated, I would have the bar and reception near the door with a settee for people collecting orders to wait. That would save them walking all through the restaurant which I imagine is a pain when the place is full. The background music was on a loop, seemed to be the same song playing over and over which was a bit annoying by the time we ready to leave.
Overall though a pleasant experience and would return, food is fabulous

The food was very well presented, good ingredients cooked really well. The service was very good I can?t wait to go back. This Indian is worth a visit.

We called in last night for a quick supper before going on to another venue, bit of a dull atmosphere and needs a re- vamp, friendly waiters and efficient service, we ordered 2 speciality curries, 2 rice and one chips, rice was sticky and the chips rock hard and a small portion, curries were ok and chicken tender to be fair but only 5 small pieces each and we did have 4 popadums and chutney tray which was ok, overall very over priced and a mandatory service charge, it should be discretional, also £11.50 for a lager shandy and J2o which is extortion, unfortunately will not be returning, we had a far better curry and less costly at the Bayleaf in Abergavenny...£66.95 for a quick curry is just not on.

Lovely, well cooked takeaway. We ordered by phone and it was ready to be picked up at the right time.

A very tasty meal, efficiently served with much politeness. Hard-working and kind staff and good food. I would just increase the lighting a bit...with some lovely lights, the restaurant could look more welcoming.

Excellent service and delicious food. Had one of the specials, chicken with potato and green chilli - absolutely fantastic! Would heartily recommend.

Had food on Saturday 6th April. It was awful, naan like cardboard, poppadoms cold and soggy, lamb dishes were tough, and it's expensive. There is far better food in the pubs in the town. The Dil is only Indian in the town so has the monopoly but their food standards are very poor. Don't know why we went back.....won't be doing that again.

This isn?t the first time I?ve been disappointed with my food. I love a good curry and because I?ve not enjoyed there curries before I tend to go to pontypool and go to the Parbin instead. However, I ordered a curry tonight from there hoping it had improved and cause it?s convenient! but I was wrong what a waste of money! I ordered a chicken tikka pathia curry got home placed it on my plate to notice lots of lemon peel. Ive eaten a few pathias in my time and never had lemon in it. It suppose to be a hot sweet curry. I rang to say i think they?ve given me the wrong curry as it didn?t taste like your typical pathia. The person I spoke to wasn?t willing to make this right or willing to listen and placed phone down. How rude. I suggest people should travel to the next town to get a curry. For one you get more value for your money as potions are small at the Dill and the Dill is much more expensive than other Indians I eat at. Never will I set foot in there again.
