Not great, we had starters they were ok but the mains were inedible we sent them back & decided not to have replacements as the food just wasn?t great. Staff were lovely but it?s just not as good food or as buzzing as it once was.
Would I recommend? Unfortunately it?s a NO

Really disappointing experience yesterday ? we didn?t realise it was under new management and was gutted when they informed us ?.
Added to that disappointment the restaurant area was in complete silence as we was the last booking and the only ones in there
Felt very uncomfortable at first as the manager kept offering us to leave in a few occasions and started recommending other restaurants once she seen how disappointed we was that that it was a different menu ?.
Although the service was acceptable enough the food was nowhere near the standard that the previous owners had it ?.
Won?t be returning ? such a shame as it was one of our favourite places for food but the quality just isn?t there anymore especially for the price ?.

A bit clicky no atmosphere although it was mid afternoon. Only ordered drinks for this reason. £18.90 for two pints of aspalls a coke and a j20 so okay price. Bar service was good.

Not as good as it used to be. Went under the new ownership & was excited as the new owners have put it out there in our village Facebook that no one will be disappointed well sorry to say I was! The scotch egg was flavourless and looked like something the hog threw up & my main course wasn?t much better had a microwaved meals that are better quality.
Sorry we won?t be returning? the table next to me said the same

Oh wow! I was left defeated by this Young?s burger, truly recommend if you visit. Such a beautiful restaurant, a cozy atmosphere and great service everyone is so warm and welcoming. Was even given colouring for my children while we waited. Definitely recommend ??

visited 14 June 2025 at 7.30pm meeting with friends from Derby & Prestatyn ourselves from Nantwich food was timely & hot & enjoyable but after the main course the staff were intrusive & overly attentive removing cutlery glasses constantly interrupting to ask had we finished did we want any more drinks ...not one member of staff but at least 3 were hovering around the table until.we finished our drinks & left at 9.50 it really spoilt our evening...so I don't recommend & I won't be returning

Overall great, food is fantastic? always served so quickly and presented well and piping hot. Portions are generous which is reflected in the price (a £ or two more than youd see in other similar pubs but the portion sizes are worth the extra) menu is pretty varied so something for everyone with all tastes. Service is really good and staff are great and helpful always. Plenty of parking too.
Only down side is that it?s quite a small and cramped pub / restaurant. Not really a drinking pub due to the lay out etc inside but it?s alright in the summer with the outside furniture.
Overall highly recommend

Came upon by chance whilst visiting North Wales. Turned out to be an absolute gem of a find. Accommodated us even though we had not booked. Excellent staff with the most delicious food I've tasted for a long time presented with the professionalism of a Michelin star restaurant. Saved in Sat Nav for definite return. 5 stars from me ?????
