Whenever we are in Pembrokeshire we have to visit the Lifeboat! My two boys have been spending their pocket money in the shop for years now as it's their favourite place to be. The volunteers are very friendly and one day it would be my dream to volunteer here myself. Unfortunately I live to far away atm but one day hopefully my dream of living in Pembrokeshire will come true ?

Amazing to be able to go inside and view the lifeboat, which is huge! Lots of information about the history of Tenby Lifeboat Station is posted around the viewing platform to help you understand and appreciate the history of the boat. We visited off season (late Oct) so unfortunately the shop wasn't open yet when we arrived, but we still felt it was worth the little walk over. A great stop if you're walking around the castle hill or just happen to be in Tenby.

Whilst I was in Tenby, I popped into the station to pick up a station pin badge as I collect them. The staff at the station were very welcoming, they were knowledgeable and were happy to chat and answer questions. The staff in the stop were also very welcoming and helpful in helping me find what I was looking for.It was live to look at the original station on South Beach, then the predecessor to the current station that has been converted to residential use.The current station is of a similar layout to my local station in Swansea (Mumbles) with the same Tamar class lifeboat (Roy-Barker).It was a pleasure visiting another station and collecting another pin badge for the collection bringing my collection to six different station visits.

A fascinating place to have a look around and see the lifeboat and some of the staff. The souvenir shop has a good range of items for sale and if course it all goes to a good course. We were tol by one of the very helpful members of staff about a practice launch of the boat later in the week. Which i have hopefully attached the video to this post as well as a few pictures.

Definitely worth stopping by to check out the real life lifeboat. It?s a lot bigger than I imagined. They even have launching times for visitors to see it in action. Nice shop inside too.

I wasn't actually in the Lifeboat Station, but I was anchored off it in my Jeanneau 389!There does seem to be less water there than there was in previous years, for information that might help other sailors, but anchor holding is good on sand.

Extremely worthwhile charity with selfless lifeboat crews all arrive the UK. Tracy Station is well worth a visit especially if they are scheduled for a training launch.
