“Very comfortable hotel and everything has been well considered. Everything you need in the rooms, good size and comfortable. Very pleasant staff. All food excellent and great choice. Great ambience and good facilities would highly reccomend”

“My husband and I stayed here with our families for 3 nights around our wedding this last week. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and everybody (we occupied all 9 rooms!) commented on how homely it felt. Those of us with sea views were treated to the most gorgeous views out onto Manorbier beach. The breakfast was also fantastic, we couldn't have asked for more. Castlemead also catered for our wedding meal and to say we were blown away is an understatement! The team curated the most incredible food, and allowed us to design our menu completely, which meant we were able to have exactly what we wanted. The food was delicious, and so plentiful! The team at Castlemead are wonderful, and nothing is too much to ask, they were more than accommodating of all of our various requests. We will definitely be back!”

“Absolutely stunning hotel! This room was booked as a surprise for my 30th and it was so lovely! everything was immaculately clean, very comfy and all the staff were very warm and welcoming.

The only down side I would say was my partner asked for prosecco to be in the room, waiting as a surprise as I entered, he had to go downstairs to ask, he wasn't really happy about this.

Also the cooked breakfast wasn't really nice, everything was cheap which is a disappointment as you're so close to such amazing Welsh produce! I would suggest going elsewhere if you like a breakfast.

“We were staying in Lydstep and decided to try this place after a recommendation. Wow. The food was amazing and the actual place is fantastic, proper old school pub feel to it. We didnt book as we couldn't get through on the landline, luckily they were able to fit 3 of us in on a reserved table as long as we ate quick, we do and did. The staff were so accommodating for us and another couple before us who allso couldnt book. Gutted it's not a local for us, 8 hour round trip for fish and chips isn't cost effective. If you're in the area and want some fantastic food in a lovely friendly place, this is where to go. 10 out 10.”

“We had a lovely time over the new year staying at Hafod y mor. We stayed in Waldo and the refurbishment which has recently been carried out was good, particularly the bathrooms which have received a much needed face-lift. Overall we all really enjoyed it. The view of the harbour is exceptional. There are lots of stairs so less able guests may find Waldo a bit difficult to access.”
