We booked for food a week in advance, but when we got there we were told the restaurant was closed for the weekend! We wouldn't have minded if we had been told in advance, but accepting the booking and then not letting us know was really poor as there are not many alternatives locally.

We stayed for 3 nights in the coach house which was very run down wall paper peeling from the wall .lumpy bed obviously two singles pushed together! .nowhere to hang coats and only one small chair .having said all that the food was great. Room service was very poor.all staff were very friendly

Superb hotel just a short stroll from Manorbier beach and just across the road from the castle. Great rooms with fantastic views, the breakfast was well cooked with lots of options and the evening meal We had in their restaurant was first class. The staff were friendly and helpful and the service swift and efficient. Would definitely recommend and return.

Very good restaurant. Excellent location. Short walk to the beach. Lovely rooms. Bath room is a bit small, typical british style.

The Castle Mead Hotel came highly rated by a family member, although until this evening we hadn't visited.We booked in advance, unfortunately, my mam neglected to mention I'm coeliac so although the rest of our party had complimentary breads whilst deciding what to choose from the 'tatty' but clear and extensive menu, I had to wait 25 minutes for the frozen gf roll to defrost.In fairness, when it came it was delicious! Not like the usual run of the mill solid gf bread. It was served still warm.Each of us ordered different mains, each one delicious!Great food, cooked well.Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely be revisiting - this time I'll make sure my dietary requirements are advised in advance.

Nice room. Breakfast was outstanding. Staff very helpful, even with taxi mix-up. Nice location near Castle and Norman church.Rooms: Room was very nice. Comfortable bed and great shower.

Visited the venue as a supplier for a wedding this passed weekend. While parking and loading into the marquee was a little difficult, and the stage being too high for me (my head was touching the top of the marquee - Im 6ft2), I will say that the staff are so so accommodating. The food was outstanding. The drinks selection was good. But the staff made the time there a fantastic one. Thank you to all the staff for being rockstars.

Room was a little dated and in need of some TLC, however, location was good, and the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough. Breakfast was excellent, well worth a visit.

This Bed and Breakfast is so charming. The Owner is so very welcoming. A short romantic walk to the beach that you can see from the dining room is spectacular. I mean seriously, the location, the home and the food makes this place just lovely. Back to the food. Wow, you will not regret eating there. Ill be honest, we ate dinner there every nite we were in town, cant be beat.

Eaten at the restaurant twice in the last week. A delicious healthy colourful lunch and tasty filling dinner watching the sky turn pink over the sea at sunset. Gorgeous views, lovely staff, family run, proper restaurant service and ambience.

Our annual friends getaway had a lot to live up to after last years trip but The Castlemead Hotel?s welcome from Alice, along with her excellent fresh food in the evening, then the breakfast that I told my husband rivals our cruise ones, all served to make our stay very special. The care and considerate enquiries from Mom (Mom and Alice are co partners in The Castlemead Hotel), the colleague?s went out of their way to make us feel welcome and relaxed. The view from its garden can?t fail to impress. I will be back. Jack and Lottie the owners Collies were just the icing on the cake for me. Thankyou all.
