They don't have an app to access your information. Need to do a data request. I have had a consultant running late which is frustrating due to paying so much. Good if you want a quick procedure / results.

After a very long time on NHS waiting lists I was offered the chance to have my hernia repair surgery at this hospital. I feel like after such a long time I won the lottery. Excellent person centred care to everyone involved in my care. Recovering well now at home after a successful surgery and day release, I would definitely be happy to be referred back to this hospital anytime. Many thanks for all your hard work and dedication to patient centred care. This is what healthcare should be all round ?

My elderly mother with dementia and macular degeneration recently underwent an essential sight saving cataract operation due to a two year plus wait on the NHS.
I was very apprehensive as she has sight only in the affected eye.
We booked the op with highly regarded eye surgeon Mrs Vursircala and everything from start to finish was superb. The ward nurses were so kind and the operation was a huge success.
I cannot recommend the surgeon and the hospital enough.
Life changing
Thank you all so much

I'm commenting on my experience of Sancta Maria via the website, email and telephone contact, and a face-to-face visit.
The website fairly easy to navigate and you can find a lot of information relevant to your health concern and possible treatment. There is an option to register on the patient portal to look for and book appointments. I booked over the phone but this online account I necessary if you do become a patient there, I would recommend signing up when you can.
Email response is incredibly slow. I think I waited almost a week when submitting my original questions (including the weekend). Your best bet is calling or having a call-back service which I used two or three times - quicker than staying on the phoneline and in the queue.
The reception staff are very helpful with queries and speak in a professional manner. I asked questions, they answered, and I didn't feel pressured into making the initial appointment, nor a follow-up. It's very much YOUR decision.
Now, this is where opinions may vary and expectations differ...
On walking into reception and checking in with the polite lady, I looked up to see a sea of people, it was very busy but don't let that put you off. I was surprised to see the waiting area so causal and public with sofa chairs and settees, tables, and coffee machines. I was sat area a table with three strangers and I didn't particularly warm to this but I am a shy, unsociable so-and-so.
The consultants/doctors were calling people from across the waiting room area. By chance, I was sitting almost half way between where I needed to go and happened to hear him. Personally, I prefer names on screen with that directing me where I need to go.
I understand the desire to make patients relaxed and comfortable but for me it was a mix of Starbucks, hotel lobby and airport lounge, and the smell of albeit delicious coffee was overwhelming.
I'm a female and I needed an intimate examination with a male doctor (Mr G. Taylor). He made me feel extremely comfortable, relaxed and respected. A female nurse came into the room and I was asked to lay on my back to shimmy down my trousers and underwear. I was soon covered up to protect myself before the examination was carried out. The female nurse was in attendance until I was properly dressed. I can't fault this routine because I think many woman can feel uncomfortable or worried but reassured, your security and dignity are maintained.
I have booked a follow-up appointment as my consultant recommended it after a course of treatment (on private prescription). But as said previously, I wasn't forced into it or made to feel like I had to make a decision then and there, nor over the phone when I called up hours later asking for some information about a follow-up.
All in all, very good. Very reassuring and respectful. Expensive but superior to the NHS. Quick to get the initial consultation and availability for the next one.

Ok.
Awaiting for a 2nd surgery unfortunately with them, but this unprofessionalism
Had surgery there the Dr's are grateful however the nurses provided false information regarding prescription, I called to check with the receptionist and they checked with nurses to confirm that I should go to pharmacy to got medication however when I went the pharmacist told me that the prescription is only to be used in sancta maria not community making me travel extra journeys, when I unwell. When I called back to inform them receptionist said they will check with the nurse and get back and for me to hold on. But they hang up, very unprofessional and don't take accountability for their actions.

After suffering from facial ice pick scarring due to acne for years and trying countless treatments with no success, I honestly can?t thank Dr. Cubitt and Nurse Claire enough for the outstanding care I received. From start to finish, the whole experience was exceptional.
Dr. Cubitt?s attention to detail and genuine compassion immediately put me at ease. He explained everything clearly during my consultation and followed up by email what we had dicussed. The procedure itself was carried out with such precision and care, I truly felt I was in the best hands.
Nurse Claire was equally wonderful, very kind, reassuring and attentive throughout. Together, they make a fantastic team and create a calm, welcoming environment that makes all the difference.
I?m so grateful for the time, skill and care both of them put into achieving the best results. I can?t recommend Dr. Cubitt and Claire highly enough and will be forever grateful!

I made an appointment for my partner to see a consultant. This was fine and we saw him within a month. It's almost as though SM sub contracts. The consultant said we would be NHS facilities privately. All we were wanting was a price for the whole process so we could decide on whether or not it was affordable and then go ahead or not. As of yet we are still waiting to hear from the consultant.
We complained to SM but they just passed the blame to the consultant. Your process is rubbish.
I run a business and would get so many complaints if I managed my business this way.

Found the staff and consultants excellent and very professional. Hospital is very clean and easy to move around. My only issue is the canteen, if you are there for a good few hours getting tests and the such like, there is nowhere to have a bite eat or snack. Plenty of coffee and tea, but nothing else. This, to me, lets it down from being a 5 star facility.

I attended the hospital for a hernia operation a few days ago.
My appointment timeslot was 11am until 6pm. I got in just a little early and was taken straight up on to the ward. Had a warm welcome from the ward staff. They got me settled in quickly and went through all the paperwork.
Everyone I met during the day that handled my operation and care were great. Thanks to Mr Gregory Taylor for sorting out the hernia.
Thanks to all involved!

Just had experience of attending sancta maria this week having planned knee surgery . I Cannot thank all the staff enough , Mr Davies was highly professional surgeon who was very easy to discuss any concerns or goals for the surgery . I was very nervous pre op and felt very reassured with the anaesthetist dr jayakumar discussing any concerns I may have and looking after me. The pre op and post op care from the nursing staff, operating theatre staff, healthcare assistants and catering were all first rate. Thankyou all
