Went to buy a large suite we had previously looked at. Got ignored by all staff for an hour so went home and ordered online instead. Numerous staff walked past and looked at us dismissively. Sadly, the only time we did get spoken to was by a very helpful lad the first time we went just to look.

We had very good service in this store. Big mention to Abby for her help in choosing the correct sofa and support with the delivery. Response times were quick and effective. Would recommend

When we look for new furniture, we simply drive out to DFS, Swansea. We've had sofas and suites from DFS and Northern Upholstery, for over 35 years, they always seen to last well and we have never had to endure overly keen salespeople.
On this occasion, we had a good idea of what we needed, so when we were politely approached by one young lady, who approached us after a few minutes, introduced herself to us and it was a real delight to be pointed in the right direction, showed us a couple of features that we probably would not have noticed ourselves, then given time and space to browse, without any pressure. When we had narrowed our choices down, we asked her for some attention, to be able to finally select and make our purchase.
This is how sales can be made and why we keep returning.

Great selection and quality, but they seem to be pushing people to use QR Codes to view information about products. Only a small % of the sofas had the print out with configuration & measurements. Not enjoyable to walk around a shop with your nose in the phone

Staff were very polite and knowledgeable, only downside is they don't stock the full range of sofas, in this or any other store in South Wales. We would have bought from them but not without taking a test drive. It's a shame because the sofa we were after from DFS was the front runner, but we ended up buying elsewhere as we couldn't see it in person

Tried to phone the local store and after holding for the centralised support line was told I can pass a message to them. I can expect a reply in 3 days time. If were to offer the same standard of service from my own business I'd have no clients. They clearly have no need of new customers.

If I could give zero stars, I would! Avoid DFS Swansea unless you want months of stress, lies, and terrible customer service.
On 23rd January 2025, my wife and I visited DFS and purchased a bed for £1,247 (Order Ref: 57D1E8496) in full payment. We were told it would be delivered within 10 days if it was just the mattress or 3 weeks with the frame?which we were happy with.
Then the nightmare began.
On 10th February, Wincanton (the delivery company) arrived but claimed the head frame didn?t fit. We were fine with that, but then the driver suddenly said the mattress was ?damaged? and took everything back! We pleaded to at least keep the mattress, as my pregnant wife and I had already thrown out our old bed to make space. The driver refused and took it all.
Since then, it?s been a complete disaster.
? My pregnant wife has been forced to sleep on the sofa, suffering emotionally and physically.
? I?m a driving instructor and have been sleeping in a chair, leading to serious back pain.
? DFS staff and the manager ignored us?we had to keep calling, visiting the store, and chasing them with no response or accountability.
? When we finally spoke to the manager on 14th February, she promised a fix?but did nothing.
? After endless calls, DFS customer support told us our damaged bed won?t even be returned to DFS until 4th March, and only after that can they send a new one!
So we are expected to go nearly 3 months without a bed! What kind of company treats its customers like this?
DFS does not care about their customers. They lied about delivery times, their customer service is useless, and they refuse to take responsibility for the suffering they have caused.
DFS, this is unacceptable!
? You should have checked the bed before delivery!
? You should have let us keep the mattress while fixing the issue!
? You should have sent a replacement immediately instead of forcing us to wait months!
My wife is crying every night from stress, and this has ruined our daily lives. DFS has shown zero empathy.
If this problem is not resolved immediately, I will escalate this further, take legal action, and expose this experience everywhere.
? Buy from DFS at your own risk. They take your money, lie, and leave you without the product you paid for. Absolute disgrace! ?

I cannot recommend this store enough. My partner and I have bought our first home and have been looking for a sofa. The first place we went was DFS and were met with the lovely Nathan.We asked loads of different questions and he helped us on everything. We went away to have a think and view other options but not one store matched the customer service we received from DFS, in particular Nathan. We came back to DFS a few days later and were met with Nathan once again, he personally took us round to view different options of what we were after and eventually we decided on the perfect one. From the very start to finish he was so patient, understanding and helpful to us and we are so thankful. DFS give Nathan a rise! Thank you Nathan for all of your help!
