I give B&Q a 5 star - yes, it's five stars. Work wears, Tools - all manner of tools for all sorts of stuff; home, outdoors, etc. Professional tools, D-I-Y tools; big or small, sophisticated or regular, just name it and you get it. I am impressed

Bought a large storage item from this store. I couldn?t lift it on my own and was helped by a staff member , Sam from the garden section. He was so helpful and polite and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent service Sam!!

Using the 5 checkout to pay for our items, the first checkout register froze, so we used another checkout register to pay for the goods.
Upon trying to leave, we were rudely approached by the self-service attendant as the first register showed an error and she accused us of theft and demanded (without so much as a please or thank you) our recipt and then rudely dismissed us when we produced said recipt.
I will be avoiding this B&Q in the future as I don't pay good money to be abused by the attendants in such a rude way simply because the self-service system failed.

I would like to thank the staff Swansea branch today and on Tuesday afternoon for helping me a problem I had with a compensation claim I had. The service centering South Africa is not fit for purpose . Well done and thank you again .

Store is ok, Could be better but as most stuff I get is never there. The only problem I have is trying to find a member of staff which are never around.

Love the store?. Especially seeing that we are renovating our house and always need something?. Staff are great?. always looking to help. However, as mentioned in the last post? I was gutted to see the dying plants some of which were still in their cradles. I even offered to water them for nothing.
As a gardener it broke my heart! I actually checked the job website to see if it was a lack of staff issue; but there were no jobs available?
I would have gladly applied just to water the plants and pick up those that had fallen over the walkways?.Please guys ? you can do better than this! Water your (our) plants !

I only go there because there is a limited choice of diy outlets these days. Their stock is terrible, the lines they carry are limited and they are very expensive.

Have visited this store often in last few years as been decorating whole house and sorting garden out. Yesterday staff were very helpful and friendly whilst we were choosing paint. However we were disappointed with the garden/plant section purely for the fact there were so many dying plants due to not being watered. The soil was rock hard. Quite a few were reduced as clearance. This is despite there being hosepipes laying around. Surely this has an impact on the price of plants in this store as they must make an allowance for the lack of care. One customer was very upset and said to us I will not be buying plants from here. On visiting the houseplant section it was the same story - whilst there were many lovely healthy plants there was an area of half dead dry plants. Please please water your plants - they have been nurtured to grow and you are letting them die. I know the weather has been hot but surely this is no excuse. I don't let the plants in my garden die. If not for this I would have given 5 stars.

Most things are OK but I bought a load of plants 2 weeks ago and one has been going brown and dying. I have tried my best to recover it but it's jot happening. All feed etc is the same as the same and other plants which are doing well. Rang today and was told they don't do anything about plants so tough basically. It wasn't a 3 for £10 plants where you get 9 plants but that wasn't even asked. Need yo take a leaf from garden centres and make sure jour customers are satisfied in some shape even if just advice. Back to proper garden centre next tear it is then.

Whoever does stock control needs replacing. They are frequently out of stock of the most common sheet woods like ply. They should be on rolling orders when approaching a certain amount. Not everyone has storage to get it when you've got it. The other too far to travel stores (Merthyr, Llanelli etc) always have stock so why not Swansea?
