As a local, we always opt to shop at Mathias - a wonderful Aladdin's cave. They're always so helpful and knowledgeable. For instance we decided to take off the plastic coating of our kitchen units and paint them. I took a sliver of paint and they had a spectral analyser (yes, really) which found a match and lo, we had a lot of paint - exactly matching our units! Outstanding.

Huge thank you to all the staff at Mathias! Was on holiday in the area and had a nightmare with my camping equipment. The staff helped me fix my broken tent pole, and solve the issues with my gas bottle, regulator and hose attachment. Super helpful and lovely people.

What a great store. I was camping in the area and one of the poles snapped due to heavy winds, leaving my tent unstable and unsafe. Not only did these guys have the only repair kit in the area, but they even fixed the pole for me right on the spot. Chris, you are a legend mate, thanks for helping me out!

Unfriendly and unhelpful. We felt our presence and custom was not welcome at this shop. Although we eventually managed to get what we wanted by persistence, the owner seemed very reluctant to assist or communicate.
