Just been for a 3 course Sunday roast, wow 3 courses for £15! Such a great deal, food was lovely too. Lots of choice, highly recommend. We will be back again soon

Personally I wasn?t keen on the, what seemed to be, deep fried hotdog which lead it to having a crispy/tough skin. Saying that the food had loads of taste and the prices were incredibly good value. The staff were nice and attentive and seemed genuinely happy to be there. The pub has been around for many years and I hope the current occupants do well.
Parking: An ample car park up the hill behind the pub.

Beautiful Sunday lunch. The presentation was amazing and the portions were too much for me (will order a childs portion next time).
Beef cooked to perfection and the sticky toffee pudding was delicious.

Fortunely the food was alright. This was the only half decent side to our experience.
No staff to be seen when we entered to greet customers, the restaurant had one other table of 2 yet after ordering our food still took over 45 minutes to arrive-.- (table of 3) We weren't approached again for the duration of our meal to see if the meals were okay or if we needed anything else. I had to find a staff member stood at the bar to ask them for one of our milkshakes. Milkshake arrived yet the staff didnt seem trained enough to even take our finished meals .
Waiting on staff dressed in a hoodie, highly unprofessional and to top it all off they charge around FOUR POUND for a smidge of peppercorn sauce ?
Absolute shambles.

We went in at the weekend and was surprised to not find only 1 other couple in. I ordered the mixed grill which had 25% off but was shocked to find the mixed grill only had steak,gammon and sausages. The 25% off must mean no chicken, lamb or eggs and with a normal price of £27.99 you would expect to have these as well. I also ordered the Diane sauce instead of the peppercorn sauce but after pouring the sauce over my food, I could swear that when eating my steak that there was peppers on it as my mouth was on fire. As I can't eat anything spicy. I did ask the waiter and she said the she had said diane sauce in the kitchen. Well there were some peppercorns on my plate. ?? So this was not my best experience of the restaurant ?

We visited twice while in the area. Sunday dinner and a burger - both were exactly what you want in the meal. All cooked fresh without a big waiting time.Can't believe it wasn't busier, but selfishly glad we got served so quickly.Really glad we gave this place a try.Vegetarian options: Options for vegetarians.Kid-friendliness: We had the little ones and the staff were very patient with them.

This was our first visit having had some excellent takeaways. We all had a very good experience with the food being of a high standard and the staff very polite and attentive. A good 4.5/5 and will be back.
