Food was great! Bit pricey but was worth it. The restaurant was cosy and candle lit, just a little cold. Will definitely be returning!

Had a family and friends meal here which was excellent. For my part, the battered cod which in fact was haddock was superb and jumped into my top 5. The meals various that were enjoyed by the others were also highly regarded. Service was excellent as well, nice ambiance.. Thoroughly enjoyable meal.Food & drinks: My review was only for dining as we were not staying at hotel

The food itself was good, my partner got the lamb which was £24 and such a tiny portion, the restaurant was also really cold and felt like we were a bit forgotten in the corner. Wasn?t sure if it was order at the bar vibe or not. The pecan pie also arrived cold which I didn?t expect and the filling was a bit of a weird jelly

Had a lovely meal last night and the service provided by the small, front of house team, was exceptional. We've stayed in Solva a few times now and always have our dog with us. We were put off the Cambrian as dogs were only allowed in the bar in the day time. The new management allow figs in the bar in the evening now, though give them a call so they can give you a good place to sit. With this in mind and the exceptional hospitality, we will be back soon.

Couldn't fault it! Best room in this price range I've ever found in Pembrokeshire. Lovely warm welcome, excellent breakfasts, fabulous room and really friendly, helpful staff. Ideal for a 4 stay rest/study break..

Haven't been here for a while but saw on social media that there was a new Landlord & Landlady so wanted to give it another go. And, we loved it. Went with family (3 generations) and we all really enjoyed the evening. My son commented that it was one of the best menu selections he'd seen for a long time; great range and options. Food was really nice and friendly service. Still think the decor could be improved to make it a bit cosier and more characterful; something that I think let the place down before. Would also be great to have some local beers. Gower Gold was pitched as a local beer but that's no local really and we have at least 3 breweries in Pembs; appreciate possibly higher costs but would be good to stock at least one very local beer as well as ones from further afield as I love the Tiny Rebel beers. Would also be good to know provenance of food; again would be nice to know ingredients are local where possible. Overall, love it though. Huge congrats to new owners and I'll be back with friends to try the curry as that looked amazing!

Booked for an amazing Sunday lunch at the start of our week in Solva, but ended up returning another couple of times for dinner as the food was so good. Hosts Hannah and Robin really care about what they are creating there and really did look after us. Georgia also was great. Food speaks for itself in a friendly comfortable atmosphere.

Good evening meal here, hubby had cod and chips and I had salmon and we both had a couple of drinks. Service a bit slow but staff were friendly.

We stopped by for Sunday lunch in November 2023. Vegetarian roast was spinach, sweet potato and walnut wellington £15. Also had a chicken roast £16 (be aware it's a leg) and the duo of lamb presented beautifully and was a very tasty roast. Freshly prepared vegetables carrots, cabbages, and cauliflower cheese. No Yorkshire puddings with any of the roasts and had to pay £3.50 if you wanted the extra Yorkshire pud. Overall nice homemade food and friendly service.

Fantastic pub on the main street in Solva. An excellent range of beers (all very well kept), with the Gower Gold being particularly good.Extensive menu, we had mackerel pate and a goat cheese tart for starters, followed by ricotta cannelloni and scallops with chips. It was all beautifully cooked, well presented and delicious but sadly, we were so full that we couldn't manage any of the fabulous sounding sweets.Staff were friendly, helpful and informative, attentive without being pushy. All in all we would highly recommend

We hadn't planned on visiting this pub, but changed our minds after looking at a different eatery. The menu outside the pub didn't look the most appealing to be honest, but it looked OK. The pub looks new inside - no quaint fishing boat paraphernalia or beams, but a modern, clean finish. We went on, what was predicted to be a wet, stormy day, so it wasn't that busy at all, so we had a choice of tables. After perusing the menu we decided on the Pig Burger for me and my wife fancied a prawn cocktail, with some truffle chips as a side order. I must say the service was great from the older chap behind the chap. Efficient and friendly and not overbearing. The food was delicious and as others have said largish portions, so we left full and contented. While we were eating some flowers were delivered for (what we thought was) the owner. She was emotional reading the card. On leaving we asked about the beautiful bouquet and she said a guest had sent them to her. I think that says it all when guests send flowers for a good stay and service. So for an ad hoc find on a stormy old day we have found a new local favourite that we will definitely return to in the near future.

A lovely family run pub and hotel in a really beautiful setting. Food and rooms were great and staff were really friendly and helpful the whole time. Was really great to get chatting to the new owner, which gave it that personal touch that a lot of places don?t have. Will definitely be returning as there?s lots to explore nearby.Rooms: Rooms were clean, comfortable and good valueFood & drinks: The menu is great with good selection and all the dishes we had were really tasty.
