Wonderful local pub with very nice ownership and staff. Unpretentious and welcoming to all, even well behaved dogs. The food was very good and a good selection of ales, lagers, and ciders. Dedicated darts area and a pool table. Had a wonderful night here in Oct of 2023. The pub dog Nico is a handsome sweet beast. The crowd at the bar sang us out as we left. Can?t get better than that.Vegetarian options: Cheesy veggie bake and others

Looked nice and cozy.
But it was very full inside and there was no doctor anymore.
Gone away.

Looking for a ?proper pub? with real ales, great Guinness, a choice of ciders and a place for hilarious conversation? This is the place to go in Sennybridge. Nick, Jude and Tracey could not have made us more welcome during our brief four day visit. The food was wholesome and tasty and prepared to order. The steaks we had were tender and delicious. Village pubs should be like the Red Lion We will be back.

We stopped there accidentally on our way home and we never regretted it. Great, friendly atmosphere. Amazing customer service. Delicious food and drinks. And the sweetest (but very shy so be gentle or you will scare him!) rottweiler Nicko. Highly recommended!

The only place we could find to eat late on a Sunday, but turned out to be a great spot. The staff (owners?) were really friendly and great hosts, letting us taste the local ales and even left tokens in the jukebox for us to use.We will be sure to visit again should we be in the area!
