Called in on a quiet and cold Thursday to receive the warmest of welcomes! And this was not just from the log burner!Had a cream tea, which included the best scone ever! The lady who served me was absolutely lovely, even fetching some water for my dog! Sorry, I forgot to mention that The Smugglers is doggie friendly! There is car parking nearby, and thoughtfully, a ramp has been built to the main door for easy access. The bar area is beautifully decorated and includes lots of interesting items of local history. I sat in an alcove to the front of the building, which had a photograph of the wreck of the Prince Ivanhoe. Everywhere was clean and tidy.I'll be back soon for a hot meal because I've read the comment made by others!Thoroughly recommended.Parking: Across the road from the main public pay and display car park.Wheelchair accessibility: A wooden ramp gas been built to give wheelchair access.

Love it here even on a wet windy day it was still my go to place with my grandchildren and son. Such a relaxed atmosphere and food is lovely. Fish and chips and scampi and chips for the boys. Very reasonably priced.Kid-friendliness: Lovely little nook to go with children ???

Food was so good we ordered another meal for dessert! The lamb burger was delish, maybe putting the salad on the side would have made eating the burger easier. Despite this, top notch, well priced and super friendly

Lovely Welsh pork and leek sausage baggets, really enjoyed. Large portion, lovely crusty bagget. It was also great to find butter being used, absolutely lovely. Well presented. Will certainly return. Good to see the Gower brewery supported on site too.

We are staying at local campsite and treated ourselves to New Years Eve Dinner with friends. First impressions were excellent, nice interior, friendly service and lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately all that was lost when food arrived. I had curry .. rice was uncle bens (or equivalent) my pet hate .. hard and cold. Please use basmati it would be more authentic and probably cost effective. I was encouraged to have chips but frozen and poor quality. The curry was ok but not much meat (lamb) and quite thick consitancy Hubby and friend had fish Small portion and not very appealing to look at... just use a good batter forget the laverbread ... it looks so dark on plate. Chips again poor. Friend had the noodle dish.. again unplesant average taste ... like a packet sauce(dont know if was) All in all qe had a lovely evening with friends and i would have normally discussed all of this with servers, but as NYE with friends i did not want to complain. I urge the chef to re visit his suppliers and maybe menu Simple menu made well would be a winner. Our bill for 4 with drinks was £100 so no an unconsidered amount to spend.

Feels absolutley lovely inside, so asthetic, everything on the menu is nice, but one thing, one thing stands among the crowd, i think it's called the gower pizza, cockles, laverbread lots of other stuff and an egg in the middle, has brought family's together, saved marieges, performed miracles, honestly equal to pepinos pizza gorseinon it is so lovely

What a lovely gem of a place. I had the Lamb burger, honestly, the best I've had in a long time. The service team were so friendly and kind. We had a fabulous evening. Only downside, the baked vanilla cheesecake was so good, the husband ate more than the little taste he was going to have.

Port Eynon is a gorgeous beach in the Gower however it?s food situation badly lets it down. There are no shops to speak of ( apart from a small camping shop which sells just basics such as bread ) A greasy fish n chip experience and a pretentious over priced pub with zero customer service are the only alternative to the Smugglers Beach Bar , which in desperation we went to.I ordered the Philadelphia steak? was ravenous after a whole day on beach . It didn?t look very busy ( apart from a few drunken people hanging around ) but I had to wait for over an hour for a small piece of bread with 2 small mushrooms and a minute, ragged piece of steak , both of these looked like they?d been scraped of the remains of someone?s plate . I understand that philly steak is supposed to be thin, but it didn?t mention in the menu this was basically a small bap with ?. Practically nothing in it . Steak was dry, leathery and as I say, it looked like the remains of someone else?s left over steak sawn off.To pay nearly £12 and wait for 1 hour for this , is basically a p**** take . Won?t be returning and lesson learnt ?. Bring your own food to Eynon Cove.
