Lovely greeting for our booking but went downhill after that. Food was average at best. Staff were too busy on their phones or chatting (and even massaging each other at one point) to see if even second drink was required with the meal. Forgot to put the food order through for the table next to ours, for same reasons, although they did apologise and give free drinks when they realised.

Staff were unattentive/rude - everything was an effort, particularly for the girl serving us (girl with piercing in her nose). Also guy behind the bar kept scratching his beard and wiping his nose with his fingers and then continued to serve drinks touching glasses with his dirty hands. Hygiene rules and customer service clearly don?t exist at this place. Disappointing as have been here a few times over the years and customer service/hygiene were always excellent. Won?t be returning!
On the flip side we had a meal at the Harbwr in Tenby a couple of days later and everything was so much better than the one in Saundersfoot - would recommend here.

Came here a couple of times during our stay in Saundersfoot. 1st time had a cheeseburger and chips, was really nice, enjoyed the chargrill bbq taste of the burger, which prompted me to come back for a steak, a sirloin 8oz at £32.50 with sauce. I also ordered king prawns starter at £10 to accompany, surf and turf if you will. The king prawns were disappointing, only 3 and not that large, most of the plate was a very ordinary un seasoned/dressed salad with 3 pieces of bread, looked like baguette that had been put in the oven but gave it a stale feel, there was a chilli oil which lacked flavour. The steak was poor quality, lots of gristle, unseasoned and the chimichuri sauce £4 in a tiny little pot, accompanied by cherry tomatoes and little bits of mushroom done in the oven, no butter so all dried up. All very disappointing, doesn?t take much to take care of the food you?re delivering, will get custom though as relying on tourists

Used to be our favourite place! What happened? Food mediocre, service poor, waitresses dressed unprofessionally. Gave it a second chance. No better. Goodbye!

One of the best fish and chips I have ever had, they said the batter is applied fresh and you can taste it! Option to choose between mushy or garden peas ??

Honestly, I would visit Saundersfoot again and again just for this place alone. When I say it?s the best burger I?ve had, I mean it?s literally like eating your first ever ?Big Mac?, but in the best way.
As an ex gourmet burger / bbq chef I gotta say you guys got it just right
(I?d laugh if it was all bought in frozen and pre-made, but even if it is, you guys know how to cook it, prepare and serve. Absolutely the dogs bollox)

Firstly thanks to all at the Harbwr Bar.
We ordered a couple of weeks ago
for a 10 place plus dog family meal.
Tried a few other places in Saundersfoot, but they didn't want to know!
So phoned the Harbwr and they took the booking.
They sent confirmation email and the menu, which was a great idea.
Tonight we all had a very good meal, service was excellent from taking the order to bringing the food. All the food arrived at the same time which was very good, as there were 3 generations and we all had something different!
So, great service, setting and food.

Popped in here for lunch after walking around Saundersfoot. Seated along a wall table plenty of room big tables, nice vibe. Plenty of wood and copper. Dark and moody without being oppresive. Friendly staff. Menu was good varied choice of drinks and food. Between us we had the steak and Harbwr ale pie, signature burger, hanging skewer and crab salad. All the meals were fabulous, the pie was just lovely the steak just melted and the supplied gravy was really really good. The burger was fresh and delicious well cooked and chips were really good as well. The hanging skewer was well cooked, the rice was good and the flatbread nice. The crab salad was ok, I'm mean it's was nice but the salad was nothing you wouldn't throw together yourself at home. But there was plenty of crab served in the shell. Drinks were good and while not cheap were not terrible there were some deals. They serve Aspel cider which to be honest gets four of the stars on its own.
Very nice lunch just under £100 for 4 meals and an Aspel, 2x gins and 1x coke it was nice and really good quality food. Would absolutely go again.
