I?m not one to complain about food but today was horrendous, steak and ale pie could barely cut into it was that hard surf and turf meal steak was grey and my cousin ended up really ill from (throwing up) , staff members when ordering were not welcoming at all and slammed drinks down and were very rude. very disappointed.

We came for our Christmas dinner, the staff were absolutely fantastic and friendly.
It was so nice of them to give up their xmas day to cook our dinner.
The food was beautiful and very large in portion, overall wonderful experience and lovely dinner.

We waited a long time for our drinks to come out after we had ordered them , it wasn't even busy but the staff there were at pains to tell us there were only 2 staff working. The male staff member was very grumpy! I know it's no fun working in hospitality the Friday before Xmas but a smile and eye contact would have helped. I didn't think he particularly wanted to be there ! However , the food was lovely.

From start to finish the experience of organising a party for 52 people was first class. Nothing was too much trouble for Lee and the staff. As a removal company we offer a personal touch and it was superb to have the same service from The Ty Risha. Everyone enjoyed, the food was hot and served on time. The waiting staff and chef did a fantastic job of ensuring everything went smoothly. Thanks again to Lee, John and all the staff.

Festive menu with family food was great and good service reasonably priced,couldn't fault it we all had the 3 courses and each one of them where extremely tasty main course with all the trimmings was a treat ?

Steak and a drink offer on a Thursday , brilliant quality, always served piping hot and very tasty tender steak Service was excellent, young man called Alex I believe couldn?t be more helpful I have had this meal before and it was as good as the last time I?ve noticed for the next week or so they have 30% of your meals Lovely pub , great real ale , nice log fire and dog friendly I will be returning Many thanks guys

Got told about this place by a friend when we said we were going up to McArthurGlen Bridgend. Nice pub with nice pub grub, friendly staff and good prices! I'll never have food in McArthurGlen itself again, I'll always come here instead! This is the perfect place to come for a meal and a drink after shopping there for a while.

Could not fault a thing, food all came out at the same time piping hot and very tasty. A family meal for 5 - would definitely come here again, staff were all lovely, helpful and friendly.

Now shopping at the retail outlet up the road thoughts soon go to a bite to eat. Now quite fed up with the usual fare at the Outlet we decide to try a little further afield. A quick google search and this pub pops up and we thought why not give it a try as its literaly a 4 minute drive away. The pub was welcoming and reasonably busy but easy found a table in the main restaurant area. It looked like a function room converted with tables but that meant more space between the tables and not all squeezed together. The good arrived in good time and was good homely fair, and well presented. We had Rump steak, (a little grisley but cooked rare as requested), Southern Fried Hunters Chicken, unusual but really lovely and well cooked. Then finally the lasgne which looked home cooked and was really lovely and with a few chips pinched off my daughters plate was more than enough for me. The staff were really welcoming and pleasant and made you feel welcome and even appreciated. The cost was average and worth the money and quality. Will definately come back next time I am dragged to shop at the outlet.
