Rebuilt on far earlier foundations, St Asaph's Parish Church, rather overlooked by its cathedral counterpart up the hill, dates from the 13th century. It is said St Kentigern founded this church too but when the written records begin in the 12th century it is dedicated to Asaph. The church is double naved, featuring a small bellcote instead of a tower. Inside, despite its striking hammerbeams is fairly simple, and features some Victorian stained glass. There appears to be a small Norman lancet window in the south wall and 17th century graffiti in the chancel's south wall window.

Interesting little church with a double nave and a single medieval stain glass of window.
