Can’t recommend this place highly enough.
Decided to try it after tasting Hanna’s curry at the food and drink festival.
Very cosy atmosphere with the warmest of welcomes.
All food was absolutely delicious. It’s worth going there just for the desert which involves bara brith. I’m saying no more. You’ll have to go and try it.😉
Quaffed a few pints of McNallys Maltitude ESB. A delicious locally brewed beer, which will no doubt be appearing in more locations in and around the area.
We will most definitely be going back.

We stopped here after hiking nearby Moel Famau. It was a nice spot for an after hike meal. It has a real old school rustic vibe.

We had a lovely meal, couldn't fault it, there were six of us and everyone really enjoyed their meal. The friendly staff looked after us well and we thought the whole evening was really good value, definitely going back..thank you all at the White Horse.

We didn't have any food but we're given a very warm welcome. Shame no draft cider on the very warm day we visited but had bottles nevertheless

The pub is decorated in a beautiful way for Christmas, very cosy and inviting, with an open fire in the small bar and a stove in the larger dining area. We were a large party there in the afternoon for a Christmas meal. The staff were very attentive and worked hard to ensure that all our meals came out on time, piping hot.
I had the twice-baked goat?s cheese soufflé with a pickled walnuts and apple salad, absolutely scrumptious, followed by a generous roast turkey dinner with creamy mash and herby roast potatoes, braised red cabbage, sprouts, stuffing and gravy, all very tasty and cooked perfectly, couldn?t manage it all. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the lovely setting and ambience.

Lovely lunch after a long walk. Beautiful historic pub in a charming village alongside an historic church. The lady behind the bar was so welcoming and found us a dog friendly table for my two little pooches. The food was delicious as was the ice cold Guinness, they even have a doggie menu so I got them some cute little sausages which kept them happy. Great little find. Top place

Spotted this place on Facebook, and all the lovely posts of food, so decided to give it a try for my daughters birthday.
We had garlic, stilton mushrooms, with ciabatta, and brie bon bons in a chilli, blackcurrant, and honey sauce, were both super tasty.
Mains we had roast belly pork, and beef & turkey roast, plates huge, everything so tasty, probably the best roasties I have had, gravy very tasty, and plenty of it, red cabbage cooked to perfection.
We also had cauliflower cheese, which was oozing with cheese, and was perfect.
Definitely will be back again, hoping to try the Saturday menu.
Lady behind the bar was also friendly, and welcoming.
