Lovely friendly hotel. I stayed for a wedding in Ruthin. Hotel is in central location near shops and restaurants. Had an evening meal and breakfast which was all good and great Weatherspoon prices. Rachel the housekeeper was lovely, so friendly and happy, really made me very welcome (I was staying there alone). Also met a very kind barman, Bowden who looked after me very well. Would recommend if you want a friendly and good value place to stay.

Didn't have either of my first two choices on menu so I opted for the halloumi burger. Was then given halloumi fries instead, which I returned. I was then brought my 'halloumi burger' which consisted of the same fries I had returned, but on a bun with a slice of tomato and a lettuce leaf, plus some chips (which were not very nice, possibly reheated). When asked how our food was, I did point all this out and he was apologetic and offered to do a new one but I declined. Very disappointed as I had been looking forward to visiting here again.

Cheap and cheerful, hotel and staff fantastic, brilliant location, definitely worth a visit, will be going again ?. Stayed again 3 nights, lovely staff great room and location but the food unfortunately was terrible, ran out of half the menu, overcooked chips and burgers like cardboard, sadly we won't be going again in the near future, maybe in a couple of years hopefully they will have got their act together.

Went for a couple of meals , while on holiday !
Food was Good ! Outdoor sitting area is nice & like that you can stay the night here ! ( We were staying elsewhere , but would like to try here next time )

Nice weather spoons pub in Ruthin, lovely beer garden at back with views of the mountains, has hotel rooms too but did not stay here so can not comment

When we arrived we were advised not to park on the road due to drunk people at night, making us feel this is a rough area to be in. (It was fine btw) Great welcome - not!
Food was awful, steak pudding No steak just thick gravy in it. They admitted everything frozen when I pointed this out - it was just shrugged off!
Room - bed was on an angle, boiling hot day with towel rail on and no fan. (Which they did sort).

I came to this small village for nice food and a good time. I didn?t expect to go to weather-spoons and receive a burnt to death burger and a pile of who knows what on top. I then got the spicy chicken burger which was overloaded with spice even though it was rated a low level spice factor.My grandson?s n Gerald is not happy and I am incredibly dissatisfied with my time here and do not recommend ??
