Welcoming staff. Good atmosphere and lighting. Variety on menu was excellent. Food was delicious and well presented. I had steak and malbec pie which was perfect with abundance of vegetables perfectly cooked. Other members in party had scampi which once again was in abundance. Shame other pubs don't reach these standards in quality or quantity. Lovely garden area near river with plenty of seating which wasn't in use because of the weather. Best place to eat in that area

We visited as complete tourists ? and wow, what a beautiful and idyllic restaurant! Rossett is such a charming village. The welcome from Alyn was warm, the service excellent, and the food was delicious ? far from the usual boring burger! True home-style cooking with a great variety to choose from. And the wine ? we had a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc ? was absolutely lovely. We?d be happy to come back anytime!

Booking was very easy online.....parking not too good as only a small car park.....ambiance in the pub was good and outside the tables and chairs looked inviting....server came over quite quickly to offer drinks....came back after giving us plenty of time to peruse the menu.....very accomodating for me as a GF guest and checked I wasn't coeliac etc......starter was very tasty and the main meal was good too.....prices were good with 2 courses at £17.50 ......we were too full to have a dessert....after the meal we went to sit outside as the quiz had started and we could not hear ourselves speak.....perhaps this should have been flagged at time of booking because we probably would have chosen a different day

Food good, but spoiled by musician singing loudly and playing music. Had to move table as unbearably loud. If you just want a quiet meal with friends and family unfortunately not the place to go.

Been a while since we were last here, but what a difference. The place was immaculate, staff were really friendly and the outside area must be the nicest setting in Wrexham.
We were a party of six and we all had starters. I had whitebait which was great and comments of the other starters were the same. Particularly the cauliflower wings.
I had lamb rump with a little pie and would definitely have it again. The fish n chips were a real hit.
Just one criticism. A drinks menu would be handy rather than the waitress having to remember what wine they had.
All in all, we had a great time and will be coming back soon and more regular.

It was a brilliant meal. Setting is wonderful along the banks of the river. The food was amazing and great value for a roast. The staff were also brilliant and professional / friendly throughout. Great Pub.

To begin with, the lady waiting on didn't look like she wanted to be there. There was no smile or pleasant greeting. The other staff were more cheerful.
We ordered our meal within 10 minutes of arriving, then had to wait an hour for it to arrive. We ordered a side dish which we had to ask for, when it didn't arrive with the main meal.
We were later told that they were short staffed, this was understandable, as these things happen, but if we had been told it was going to be a long wait when we arrived, we could have made the decision whether to wait.
The food when it arrived was very nice and there was plenty of it.

First time visiting this lovely pub in a beautiful setting. Nice outside decked area with plenty of comfy seating. We visited on a Sunday, and although it was busy- ish, the staff were attentive and helpful. Fantastic food, and we'd definitely come again.

opted for the roasted lamb and mini pie duo and cheesecake for dessert, would highly recommend especially the lamb,even better,it was prepared by a good mate of mine Kraig love, thoroughly enjoyable meal.
