This pub had a great atmosphere all around, the garden was big with plenty of parking or camping, the inside was cosy and friendly and there is even a hidden room for big events that looks amazing. The service was fast, and food looked good. There was even a pool table there.

We arrived at this welcoming pub/ restaurant in a barn for Sunday lunch. Through no fault of the owner his wife, the chef had to leave for an emergency of a personal nature. He tried to contact us as we had booked for 5 adults and 2 children for Sunday lunch, to our amazement 7 roast lunches had been prepared for us to take away. Not only was this a kind gesture not anticipated he insisted we did not have to pay for it!! Needless to saywe stayed for some drinks and he even gave our two granddaughters a Fredo each. Outstanding hospitality, kindness and so friendly. We throughly enjoyed our more than ample potions once back at our holiday lodge. A huge thank you to our host and may all all be well with your family. With much appreciation, The Clarke family.

I recently went there with 9 friends for Sunday lunch. We were on a girls weekend at Bluestone celebrating a couple of 40th birthdays. The staff were wonderful and couldn't have done more to help us enjoy and celebrate. On top of that the Sunday roast for superb! Such good value for money.Next time I return to the area I'll definitely be making a reservation for food. ?

We were camping 2-3 miles away and were recommended this place by the campsite owner for our evening meal. The pub was fairly quiet when we visited with just a couple of tables occupied outside. It has a large car park and its own children's play area. The menu selection was OK with a decent amount of choice including children's choices. The venue is a little dated but well kept and the quality of service and food and drinks was good.

Location is great if your staying on site or at a nearby campsite. But is very rural. Food was amazing, really good portions and reasonably priced. Great selection of beers. Cosy and friendly atmosphere. Kids area was fun and wild.Nearby activities: Oakwood theme park

Stopped for some food with that family post-Folly Farm. Great pub grub venue with all your typical pub grub food, but with that home made taste. Local pies served. Delicious! Very reasonable prices, nicely presented food with side salads. Fun park out front. Staff friendly and fun. Great evening watching the family play in the park and having a cider.Food & drinks: Pub grub, Chips, pies, mash fish

Probably the worst experience of eating out I've every had. Squashed in next to the pool table not on the restaurant then told it was roast lunch only yet I'm sure people in the main restaurant had menus. When the meal (if you could call it that) came it was of old style school dinner standard. The chicken had obviously been microwaved and was rubbery and pale. The beef was tough and tasted heated up. Veg ranged from under cooked to boiled to within an inch of it's life All in all a very unpleasant experience I would not like to repeat.

Took our dog and had the vip room next to the bar to ourselves. As it was raining and cool they put lovely blankets in there for us. The staff were very friendly and even cooked a sausage for our dog too. Food was very tasteful and good portions.

Wish this was my local pub! Wonderful welcome and spoilt rotten by the lovely owners. Cosy venue, gutted to leave tomorrow. Will come back camping again - lovely site to chill out. Oakwood and Folly Farm on the doorstep but so peaceful here. ?

We called here after finding it on Google a bit desperate as it was getting late and we are so glad we did!! There is not a single negative. 5 adults and one child ate, every dish was cooked perfectly, the portion sizes were shockingly big, the landlord and lady were both very welcoming, kind and attentive. My 3 year old was encouraged to pick some free books and was given a chocolate bar for free. So nice we booked again for Father?s Day and we can?t wait!
