If I could give no stars I would. They said my card was declined, correct pin but card declined 6 times. They said problems with Internet. They said to wait and try again. I did. Card accepted. I left and 24 hours later checked my online banking. I was charged twice for a £94 shop. I went back with receipt. They checked and confirmed I had even charged twice but could not refund me for 3 working days. They offered me a bottle of wine in compensation for the 3 day wait. I am fortunate enough to not have needed that money for the remainder of my trip. However for a family with a limited holiday budget losing nearly 100 of holiday spends for 3 days would be terrible, having to refuse children the arcades games etc or worse not having enough money for the last 3 days to buy food. The guy on the till said it happened again that day, the supervisor did her best and rang 3 managers all of which would not give a refund even though I had a receipt and could show on my online banking I was charged twice. This appalling service could literally ruin someone's hard earned holiday. As I was waiting I watched another person having their card declined and keep trying!!! Sort your Internet and your policy. Utterly appalling in this current climate. Nearly 100 pound is 2 or 3 days of some peoples holidays. Further offering a bottle of wine in compensation is ridiculous. Offer food for an evening as that is what you could be taking away from someone especially if they have children, "here you go kids mummy can't feed you tonight on this holiday but would you like a sip of wine". If I wasn't in the fortunate position to be able to wait 3 days I would have taken this so much further!!!!! If asked to pay again, say no and check your online banking first. I will be tweet tastic over this. Horrendous.
