Definitely a hidden gem, pick your route carefully ?
Very nice pub with awesome food and drink though this time I didn?t have any the food, the food I saw whilst there definitely looked very nice.
Excellent service by the manageress and manager and staff, a very homely place with some lovely rooms.
I?ll be revisiting soon and definitely having a good meal. Car park on the rear of the building.

We arrived grumpy and tired after a long day but we loved our visit! The traditional look of the pub with all the nik naks and photos of times gone by really added to the visit.
The staff and locals were very welcoming, friendly and chatty. The food was really nice, full of flavour. We didn't have room for dessert which was a shame because the menu was very appetising.

After a lovely afternoon walk at llyn Brenig a short drive to The Red Lion for a curry. Wow, fantastic, you never fail guys. Absolutely, without doubt 'THE BEST CURRY'. Already looking forward to next time.

The owners of the Red Lion took the time to cook my friends and I a delicious hot meal in a black out. A top class welsh welcome and they went above and beyond. Much appreciated.

I went to the Red Lion Hotel when I was staying at a local Airbnb with friends. Due to storm Darragh we lost all power for 24 hours and on a stroll to kill time we came across this pub where the landlady kindly came outside told talk to us and say she would open for us later that night.
They did just that and served us what drinks they could and cooked a fantastic curry I would have been thrilled with under normal circumstances, let alone the fact they cooked in the dark and with only gas.
They helped turn a difficult day in to an enjoyable one. I would recommend this place to anyone and would love to visit again when the lights are on!

Power was off due to the Storm yet we where brought in by the publicans, who accommodated us with Beers and a brilliant Curry. Thank you

Fantastic spot! We were welcomed with open arms - even though there was an unusual power cut in the area.
Food was top notch. Service was exceptional. Definitely make a stop at the Red Lion if you?re around!

Came here during Storm Daragh as we had a power cut and the service was amazing! They also had no power but welcomed us in and cooked a fantastic meal in the dark. Really friendly family owners and was great chatting to them!

We stayed nearby the Red Lion in an AirBnB. During which there was a village outage of power for 24 hours. The landlady + landlord (& the landlady?s mum) were so accommodating of us. They opened the pub especially for us with candles and fairy lights. They made us all a hot meal that was absolutely delicious (despite running off gas / generator). They couldn?t do enough for us. We had no signal and they were prepared for us to make payment at a later day. They were lovely, friendly, polite, warm and welcoming. We enjoyed talking to them. 10/10 5 stars - would 100% come back. Thank you so much xxx
